Floating Church...Seriously!

Did I get your attention!

On our side of the province...

which is pretty much entirely surrounded by water,

we enjoyed a leisurely photo making stroll.

While on one of the other shores
about an hour's drive away
this small church was getting a new lease on life!
(click on the link and see what can happen with a little bit of ingenuity)
(there's a small advert at first, not long though)

Amazing, eh!

  1. The moving of that church was sensational and very touching at the same time. What's the temperature up there? It looks like it's still cold. We have a week of the 60s coming up...maybe a 70 later on.
    Good Morning Sophie!

  2. I love stories like that. I used to watch a show called Haulin House but I can't find it any longer. I'm so glad that they saved that little church.
    Thanks for that!

Oh! Happy Mother's Day to you. Give Sophie a kiss from Roman and Maggie. m.

  3. That WAS amazing. It's nice that someone is taking this church and finding a new use for it. We have one here in Portland where one of the best barbeque restaurants outside of Texas has taken up residence.

  5. What a great story! My Rare One and I saw this on CBC too. We were surprised that they didn't remove the stain glass windows before moving it. It would be so easy for those to crack or break during the moving process.
