CANADA DAY, EH .¸¸♥¸¸.•*¨*•♫♫♪

The city and country 

are celebrating 

our 150th birthday today.

The red flag is everywhere

even arm and arm 

with a city flag.

Double Reflections captured the flags

in these nearby windows

also sharing a moment 

with bouquets of flowers

and sitting high

on the mast of this ship in foreground 

as a myriad of vessels

ply the waters or are docked in the harbour.

Refreshing moment on the way home the other day

sitting 

soaking up the view ~~ 

 the waves crashing on the rocks

a perfect east coast example

of my Canada!

lost in the fields

inhaling the sweet smells of new grasses

a fine abundant amount this year ~~

short and sweet 

is my message today

CANADA DAY ~~ YAY ~~ EH!!!

Ambling through the mammoth field of bowing verdant grasses

surrounding me completely in meadow sweetness with that tickling feeling

every time I dip my nose into the clumps of jade green looking for my tender salad sprouts

I lift my head to sniff and hear far off in the distance humans slicing through the waters below

freedom

with a splash of seaweed

like butterflies on the wind they are

the winds have kept their strength sufficient for these folks

so I will retrace my steps back up the hill

with one last glance into the distance

and plunk myself down
on this beautiful day.

Japanese Maples in our garden remind me of our flag

 as does the sunset captured down the road last fall

I am very thankful for the life I have
