LOST IN MY SENSES!

Seriously, I am a DOODLE
with a MULTI-DOODLE SNIFFER!
I become entranced
so zoned
so zenned
that I can't break away.
I am at one with my nose
and
it is at one with me.

There now
Inhale ~ Exhale
I feel whole again.
Focused
Clear headed
Clear nosed
and
ready for the next discovery.
Maybe it'll be edible
One can only hope.
Right?
Right!

JANUARY THAW ~~~ DOODLE SMILES

Here it is the middle of January in NOVA SCOTIA in WINTER
I bet you thought I'd be covered in snow and snorting snowflakes,
WRONGO!

I'm practicing wall walking ~~ without any ice!

Drinking from familiar haunts that are now flowing SPRINGS!

Catching up with the Dog Whisperer and friends!
(I'm in the middle with Mr. DW touching my face.
He always calls me over and I oblige)

Warm temps!
Bright bluebird skies!
Ice free walking!
and
Enjoying every minute with my guys!

The Sun Shone!

 The other evening as we readied for supper, look what came streaming in the window!
 Now the magnolias can open up....
 The bloodgood maples leaves can glow in the evening sky...
 and I can check out the nursery beds for coffee grinds to eat...love me my grinds!
 See...there they are...all dark and smelling good!
This is between you and me,
cos I get shewed away every time I start devouring them.
 Still following me I hope...
this is a miniature hosta growing on a rock
with a clematis entwined on the wrought iron rail.
Cool colour, eh!
 This path leads me back to the house where I can sit and look out the window again.
Anytime of day you'll find me here in the side window
checking out the vet's visitors.
Today was special because no one was wet,
just drenched in the sun's rays!

Nor'ester Havoc!

Nor'ester did this!
 Since we've had a rain storm or nor'ester every Monday this month,
I thought I'd show you what can happen when one hits....
^^This is the cranberry bog which is super flooded.
Normally, there is a minute pond to the left of that knoll.
^^These rocks have been uplifted by the massive waves
that were pounding the grassy dunes that buffered the cranberry bog.
^^As we stroll along the rocks you will notice a sandy area
that did not exist a month ago.
^^This is the sandy area up close from a different vantage point!
It is now a new beach area.
^^Ron and I took advantage of this new finding and played some ball toss.
He's the best when it comes to spontaneous fun!
^^This is another view from the far side of the bog.
A clearer idea of the eroded dune height is evident
and that's where we played ball toss.

^^This is the dune area that has been washed out.
This photo was taken last February 2010.
^^Kali and I were just playing in the bog a good month ago
and now, the dune behind us is gone
with the ocean view visible.
~~~
So good ol' Mother Nature decided
 it was time for change on  our shores.
Now,we are waiting to see
what the rest of winter has in store for us.
Sunny Morning!
As I stood outside near the Weeping Mulberry
drenched in the morning sun,
word had it Marilyn, Jim's sis was coming for a visit
and a walk on the beach!
The guys weren't pulling my leg...
There she was taking a tour through my garden.
Let me out there, please!
She needs a good sniff and lick ;-) !
Before I knew it,
we jumped into the car
and headed to the beach.
Now that's good decision making!
OK, Ron, is this posey enough!
It's cold and windy for Pete's sake! brr,brr
This was a beautiful walk this morning.
I had to round them up continually!
You may see some tails wagging in the grass
 as I mentioned in my last blog to Houndstooth.
(Look real hard and if you pretend you'll see them)
One important part of my walk this time of year is
the feast of rosehips.
I discovered I liked these last year.
The long growing season this year
has produced some mighty huge berries....yesss!
This part of the 'follow the leader' walk is my fave
and it captures the feeling of
'sunny, cold and windy'
...my kind of weather.
So refreshing!
