Nor'ester Havoc!

Nor'ester did this!
 Since we've had a rain storm or nor'ester every Monday this month,
I thought I'd show you what can happen when one hits....
^^This is the cranberry bog which is super flooded.
Normally, there is a minute pond to the left of that knoll.
^^These rocks have been uplifted by the massive waves
that were pounding the grassy dunes that buffered the cranberry bog.
^^As we stroll along the rocks you will notice a sandy area
that did not exist a month ago.
^^This is the sandy area up close from a different vantage point!
It is now a new beach area.
^^Ron and I took advantage of this new finding and played some ball toss.
He's the best when it comes to spontaneous fun!
^^This is another view from the far side of the bog.
A clearer idea of the eroded dune height is evident
and that's where we played ball toss.

^^This is the dune area that has been washed out.
This photo was taken last February 2010.
^^Kali and I were just playing in the bog a good month ago
and now, the dune behind us is gone
with the ocean view visible.
~~~
So good ol' Mother Nature decided
 it was time for change on  our shores.
Now,we are waiting to see
what the rest of winter has in store for us.
High Tide Waves!
 Spring has hitchhiked on in for a swift visit.
A much needed trail walk became the order of the day,
yesterday, at PPP(Point Pleasant Park)!
Let me show you!
The waves at the mouth of the harbour were constant and energetic.
Hope you enjoyed this short diversion at PPP,
'cause being in the 'out of doors' is my mantra!
The guys just promised me another walk,
so I'm off....until we meet again!
Boxing Day Visit!
Boxing Day started off with a bang!
Jim's sista, Paula had facebooked me last night
to say she and her hubby Graham were coming for a visit.
Turns out that Paula's daughter Jami and hubby Dustin
were on there way from Antigonish, a 2 hour drive from here.
NOW...the special part about this announcement
 was that their dog Fenway, a Boston Terrier,
would be visiting as well.
She's a load of fun and energy!
Fenway is as quick as fox for sure. He grabbed my new Orbee play toy and
proceeded to dive into my mouth.
This new toy was obviously a hit.
Mama Jami looked on as we rough housed it for awhile.
Graham (left pic) and Paula(right pic)
were so patient with our antics.
You know, sometimes us puppies just can't control ourselves!
See.....
After everyone chatted and had munchies
Jim played 'The Dog Whisperer' with us.
The learning session was't too long
but I know it was good for Fenway!
Xmas Day!
Just finished helping the guys open their giftys!
What I have to endure for their amusement!
What you see is not what you think!
Now is that funny or just plain stupid?
Hope you are enjoying your day as much as I am....Hmmmm!
Snow...has arrived!
After a few designated whines and whimpers
I managed to con Ron
out to the backyard for a joyful romp
in the 5cm of snow that fell in the passed 24hrs!
Woof Woof!
What are you waiting for?
LET'S PLAY!
mmm mmm Good!
I'm wound up!
Watch out!
Now for a good chew on my fave stick!
Huh, did you say something?
You ask....Do those looks like antlers protruding from my head?
Almost...wink!
Sophie takes Ron for a Walk!
Ron's feeling better
and so I decided to take him for a walk yesterday.
Just the two of us and
I want to show you our outing.
I sat very still on this knoll
so Ron could get the camera snappin' again!
This view was behind me.
Do you see the lucky bird?
This stroll was so peaceful.
The grasses have changed from verdant green to arid beige.
Ambling along the familiar path the sun's rays were highlighting
my blondness.
My eyes gaze upon a sight.
Come on, Ron, let's go.
I know you're going to like what I can see in the distance.
A lone surfer floating amongst the waves as the heavens open up!
