FOOLED YA!!!

Pay attention!
Look into my eyes
even though they are in B&W.
Life is good no matter which reality you prefer
but I do believe that a wee titch of colour
always makes the senses tingle
"spidey tingle"
if you may ~~

see what I mean!
A swath of colour so profound
that one misses
the obvious
the possible landing of aliens
in our city ~~

Jim wants out of here!
I guess I am driving him crazy.
Comes with the territory, my dear.
~~
such  a good sport he is!

BRILLIANCE ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE

October is our month of brilliant colours
cooler temps
bright blue skies
adding another layer to cut any unexpected chill
and
time to discover new places ~~

this is the Shubenacdie River
which we discovered on the weekend
the colours were magnificent
and
it inspired Daddy Ron to create the piece above
the original picture is below

closer to home the backyard
is ablaze with this
Japanese Bloodgood Maple
~
still waiting for the
Acer Palmatum Dissectum
to offer its unreal display

so while you wait
I will show you what happens to
yours truly
when Daddio
gets lost in his world.
CHEERS!!

ANYONE FOR A SCHOONER !?!

Right now I am in 7th heaven!

This is SCHOONER!
My new boyfriend
Confidante
Argentine Tango Partner
and

A Youthful Doodle
who completes me!

I am teaching Schooner how to manoeuvre
since he is all of 16 months
"fixed"
which apparently doesn't
curb your enthusiasm.

As you may have noticed my gorgeous hair has been sheered off
"to within an inch of my Doodle Life".
I personally feel better
because this passed summer was so unnatually hot and humid
many "hot spots" and "lady itchies"
thus the short hair.

Don't you just love our connection!
It's as though we were meant to be together
FOREVER!
LOL!!

Paso Doble anyone!?!
(click the words Paso Doble
to view a video skip ahead to 3 minute mark)

"UNCLE?"
Do I hear UNCLE?

All kidding aside ~
this was a moment to remember
a moment which brought me screaming back to my youth
a moment of sheer doodle bliss
Doodles play in a certain fashion
and
I know exactly how to do this.
Funny thing is so does SCHOONER!
It's in our DNA!

A sample of play and doodle talk!
ENJOY!!

HUGGING FEST IN MY NEIGHBOURHOOD

Now that I have caught your attention ~
Look who we found on the rocks last week in need of some massive hugs
and licks from yours truly!

It's our dear, dear friend Louise from
This Coloradan/Nova Scotian dog lover is game for pretty much anything,
so we spent 2 days showing her a few of our favourite places.
(Psst: this is a bayberry hedge along one of the cliffs)

 Everywhere we went the humans kept hugging.
Here's Ron and Louise
after fishcakes and beans, salad, gingerbread, coffee
and laughing at a french cafe nearby.

Re-discovering the paragliders near MacDonald House on the hill
turned out to be exceptional because the wind was super warm
and there were so many sails flitting about the skies.

 Once again warm hugs coming from Jim this time
after the french cafe meal.

Another unbelievably scrumptious meal was had at
a restaurant near Peggy's Cove ~

see what I mean
fishcakes again
portobello burger
deep fried fish and chips
(hungry yet?)

so after desserts
and
to keep up the hugging tradition
Louise and Jim
act up
while returning to the car
Humans please!

A trek out onto the barrens was necessary.
You know what?
I can't remember if this was before or after that
mouth watering meal.
But as you can see we all needed some fresh air
and
laughter again!

We found this beautiful lake to throw Mr. Orangie.
Louise has the honours of course.

Another black Lab joined in because this was too much fun to pass up.

Across the road on Queensland Beach
Louise and Ron saw this cool Doodle
with the dyed blue hair.
Whattaya think?
Should I?

Do you think we all had a supreme time
laughing and hugging?
Affirmative!

Seriously, there so much to be said about 50 year friendships
which began many years ago
with a huge space in between of living our own lives,
social media intervenes
et voila
back together again.
Ain't it all good!

I do believe I did a good thing today Charlie Brown
and
am so happy for those three humans.
Life is good
so Good!

WELCOME TO AUGUST MY FRIENDS!!!

Welcome!
August has slipped into my world.

 High on the hill the warm breezes play with the grasses and flowers ~

as I amble through them seeking out anything to sniff

also watching that I don't get in the way of these flying humans
high over head ~

across the waters on that spit of land a couple discover their own nirvana

realizing that a morning dew
only makes the remainder of the day
that much more magical

So come along with yours truly
and
perhaps this will give you a bit of nirvana.
~~~
Namaste, my friends!
BUZZING & SWIMMING
Swimming this morning in the North West Arm
without a Doodle care in the world ~
A two-step was in full swing inside this luscious pink rose
a solo engorgment of pollen by this bee as we stared down inside
so still
so beautiful
so Lady Bug
almost translucent hiding in amongst the stamens
the white roses are a fresh pink before opening up to us
blackberry blooms so crinkly
I continue to swim
rescuing Mr. Orangie from a fate worse than death.
As I return to the top of the hill
I hear the buzzing of yet another bee
totally lost in all these blossoms ~
while Jim snoozes on the bench soaking up the beautiful summer warmth
and I take a reprieve from fetching and chewing Mr. Orangie
within an inch of his orange life.
I do love our summers especially getting lost in the park,
meeting friends,
swimming
listening to the bees
and
devouring a green salad
anytime I want.
I Love My Summers!
