FOG ALARM ¸¸.•*¨*•

The fog has settled in
so come along
why don't you ~

ambling along my favourite paths
in my favourite park ~

with my 2 favourite guys
and their trusty cameras ~

sometimes can be dark and foreboding ~

but once we spend an hour
walking the paths
we sometimes head for the streets ~~

where the colours are brighter and seem to pop ~

always paying attention to rules of the road
even if the fog horn
sounds in the background!!

and one last photo capture
of a cyclist waiting for a light change
in the fog (by Jim)!!

'DOODLE'FOGVORTEX

Just minding my own DOODLEBUSINESS as usual
in Point Pleasant Park
bouncing Mr. Orangie in the fall leaves ~

sometimes Mr. Orangie tricks me
and
Where's Waldo aka Mr. Orangie
 becomes the game of the day.

The thing is I didn't even notice
ALL THE FOG.
All the brightly coloured joggers
were fading into the distance
as they sped by us ~

I tried to warn this
PINKLADY
not to go down there
but she paid no attention to me.
What do I know anyway!?!

All these park friends
kept close by each other
for protection
I am sure!
Dogs do know better, you know!

We slipped passed this ol' haunted stump
which from the feeling it gave me
I should keep the guys close
and
start heading back to the car.

I think that this
YELLOWJACKETLADY
and her tiny munchkin
had the very same idea ~
FOG = THE UNKNOWN

Just ahead of us this
BRIGHTBLUEJOGGER
was heading for the two lights
coming down the road

Then it started
everything began to swirl
spinning round and round
so fast
so quickly

We were caught up in the frenzy!
For a few moments I thought I'd see
Alice from Alice in Wonderland ~

and before we knew it
it was all over
all calm
all serene
all better

It was a very strange walk indeed
and
I for one
am so very happy
to see the car just down in the parking lot.
~
What was that anyway?
Any ideas?

HOW I FIND MY INNER PEACE

Firstly, I stare at the guys
every morning
which means
"let's go for a walk"
on the grassy dunes.

This time of year the wild strawberries are in full bloom.
Abundance is what I am finding,
~~ everywhere strawberry blossoms ~~

I'm a DOODLE ON A MISSION as usual,
so the rocks above the beach
need a complete sweep
and

with the new flock of surfers taking over the waters
I must make sure they are in safe waters

That's mighty exhausting for an 8 year old DOODLE,
so I'll plunk myself down here
and
gnaw on Mr. Orangie for awhile!!

followed by a
BACK SCRATCHING
session
of monumental proportions!

That FEELS so good!
(try saying that with your tongue sticking out of your mouth!)

so THIS is
my INNER PEACE routine
pretty much daily.
Sorry but I must continue on,
my nose has picked up
a scent
a sweet aroma
a mind-blowing fragrance,
give me some time
and
I will figure this one out.

TOUCH of COOL FOG

Can you feel it?

Oh yes, the refreshing touch of cool fog
slowly gliding in from over the ocean.

 It softens the landscape giving the view a muted cover ~

sifting across the beach rock
up and over

to the other side
where we walk and park our car

the lake on the other side of the parking lot
is smothered in sunset clouds
protected from the ocean's fickle nature

up on the hill
I manage to sniff out a choice spot
just as the sunset
descends for the evening

Cool fog and Sunsets
this is what makes my day
and
hopefully yours!!

~~ ON THE WING ~~

Sauntering slowly and listening with intent
Jim and I head into the park

ending up at the pond
just 5 minutes into the park
filled with
WINGS
flitting every where

this amazing creature with
4 wings
1/2 transparent and 1/2 chocolate brown

the pond water was so still mirror-like
with hundreds of speedy dragonflies
dodging each other and us

Do you see the double attached dragonflies
on the right-hand side with the reflection below?
Such is the speed I was telling you about.
No one was sitting still for our cameras today.

So close these 2 were,
I suspect they were mating

After leaving and returning to
 MacDonald Hill
for fresh cool air
this seagull soared by
heading across the expanse
into the mist.

Wings of all sorts today!
Someday I will fly on the breezes like
all my winged friends!

BACK ON THE ROCKS

Hi Ho!
I'm over here just to Jim's right hiding in the grass.

Apparently the rest of the country
was being blanketed with white white snow
while we were drenched in rain ~~~

thus the mist / warmer temps cover the shoreline

making all the rocks a beautiful shade of dark gray
and ruddy brown

The important thing is
~~~ Ron is taking my picture again ~~
and photos of seafoam
wet rocks
and beautifully graceful seagulls
flying overhead.
