TOUCH of COOL FOG

Can you feel it?

Oh yes, the refreshing touch of cool fog
slowly gliding in from over the ocean.

It softens the landscape giving the view a muted cover ~

sifting across the beach rock
up and over

to the other side
where we walk and park our car

the lake on the other side of the parking lot
is smothered in sunset clouds
protected from the ocean's fickle nature

up on the hill
I manage to sniff out a choice spot
just as the sunset
descends for the evening

Cool fog and Sunsets
this is what makes my day
and
hopefully yours!!

    1. Glad you enjoyed that view we witnessed this evening Jean.

Our spring is hobbling along each day being different with the full gamut of rain / sleet / snow / sun and surf!

      Winks!

  7. Cool fogs and sunsets (and sunrises too) make my day also, Sophie - on the other side of the country! Those are my favourite times of day, and my favourite things to photograph - next to dogs, of course.

    1. Your world is truly made for the photographer's eye!

We visited Vancouver Island a few times when we lived in Vancouver and my mind's eye remembers a few choice place like Long Beach / Pacific Rim Coastal Trail and so many more.

Thanks for your kind comments and Woof to you all!

  10. That made my day, SD! I'm sitting here drinking my morning coffee and lingering over your Daddy Ron's evocative photos. The light is spectacular in each of them, and I can feel the mood of every photo. The cloud-filled lake is gorgeous. But you, sweet SD, are the fairest of all! Bellyrubs to you, my friend, and tell the dads to have a great Friday!

    1. This evening was sheer bliss Louise! Into the car and down to the beach passing by my "Oh My Gods" look at that photo there there and there!! I promised HRH a run on the beach and with the sun setting so softly and so spectacularly well, I just was so happy for the decision to go.

The fog stood out mostly for me even though the pictures aren't as dramatic as what I witnessed. I'll try again another time.

      Enjoy your java as always!

  11. Beautiful photos Ron! That soft light is magical. I thought I was on the wrong blog at first as there was no snow to see :)

    1. The light was so welcoming this evening!

Sophie and I jumped into the car and zoomed down to the beach while passing so many photo ops. Oh Oh Oh! So I returned to each spot and took a few shots. Sophie was wondering why we kept moving along.

The snow is slowly moving and melting into the ground, actually encouraging spring growth.

      So happy SPRING is here!

  13. Sophie - you lucky gal with views like those. Don't twist your ankle on the rocks! Fog is one of my favorite things to see (if I don't have to drive in it).
