Summertime and the lovin' is easy-goin'

zenning out at the beach

as I slip through the sparkles

I turn my head

zooming swiftly to the shore

charging and dripping onto the land

with my ears held high

life is like this moment now

then sometimes the rhythm of another beat

TAILGATING PAW-TY TIME!

I'm always looking for a good time,
just ask my guys!
Where ever we visit I make a point of inclusion ~~
(all you teachers know what inclusion' refers to)

I use my beacon tail to signal that I'm here ~~

the thickness / colour / curvature

send out to everyone around that
I am in charge
so if you can handle it
come on along ~~

I am dreaming now.
Dreaming of my romp the other day with 2 Doodles.
Check us out below!

Do you see our connection!?!
3 tails standing tall
3 different colours
3 different Doodles
~
We had a blast
swimming
and
literally Tailgating each other.
(OK, hand over Mr. Orangie,you!)

Back to my SUMMER beach!

As you may have already read on Jim's blog yesterday'
I, finally, after 3 months returned to my favourite beach.
Conrad's has so much more to offer because I can swim, run and
explore in a rather safe environment.

Of course, safety usually refers to weather conditions.
They were perfect yesterday with sunny skies,
only moderately cool air/water temps, slight breeze(if any) and
no mysterious unwanted sounds in the woods!
How do you like my look...!
Ron said I looked like a lion sauntering up the beach.
It's just excited me...!
so appreciative of this outing.
Now watch below as the seagull takes flight
thinking I was going to make chase.

Sorry Jonathan...no time for chasing
when I can mouth my ball!

My Shed!

My dads think that this is their shed, when in reality it's truly mine.

Yes, Jim may have spent all one summer hammering and sawing before I was born but I still feel that I keep an eye on it more than they do.

Every morning, I come running out to sniff each corner. I know something's been out here during the night. One of these days I'm going to find out what it is.

I check out the neighbour which is the local vet's establishment.
So many sounds from that place. Sometimes, I perk up to the yips and howls from across the fence. I'm so used to the action there that I don't let it get me down.

Thought you might like to see the Virginia Creeper a wee bit closer as it trails across the cedar roof.

They are so proud of this little building. I'm so glad they decided to build it because it really helps with hiding the gardening tools and the like. Besides I can sniff it till my heart's content...aah!

I love legumes!

Yesterday, we drove to Boutilier's Point on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. Jim's sister Jo-Ann lives there. She with her partner Milan have flown off to Slovenia for 5 weeks and Jim promised to harvest the beans while they were cavorting around the Mediterranean. Sounds like an even trade off, eh! Well, this was like hitting pay dirt for me....beans...legumes...these are my favourite munchies of all times....

This is the area where the cache was hiding. Milan has built a fence around the bean patch to keep out bean predators, like me I guess. He's one handyman. I'll have to show you some of the furniture he's made one day. Anyway, back to my taste buds. Look what I spied....

I had no idea beans grew in a metal  collander/sieve in the middle of the bean patch.

Oh now I get the picture...that Jim is so smart ....maybe if I stare at him he may succumb to....

my vibes~~~

yes...it worked again...this technique should be patented....

"stare, stare, stare.....tongue panting....stare, stare, stare" !
(such a simple mantra)

SOOO.....HOTTT!!

Yesterday proved to be the hottest day so far this year 30 degrees C....My body couldn't take it. Since the boys were busy cleaning out the shed (why you say?) the only relief I found was below....

hiding under the Japanese Maple...I figured this was as good a place as any. The pool wasn't doing it anymore...I was hosed down a couple times yet...

only Mother Nature seemed to afford the relief I needed. Besides I thought I looked pretty good under the lacey leaves of the Waterfall Maple.

This is my refuge spot from now on....boy am I learning fast...only took 3 years.

PS....yesterday's blog answer to the 'hair raising' photo is Sophie's blond(really) blond nose hairs...check it out!
