HAPPY BIRTHDAY ♥ DADDY JIM

whether on the beach at low tide

or strolling along a new section of the Atlantic View Trail

or gathering debris from the beaches

or bundling up to capture nature's roar
of waves
at Martinique Beach

or sifting through the heathers at Point Pleasant Park

or slipping across the parking lot
to capture the egret that
took up residence in our area this spring

to checking out the garden before the greenery
multiplies like mad
(as it it did this year)

to an end of the evening stroll in the mist

to assisting Jim with some photos
as the sun was setting on the hill

I wish Daddy Jim the
Happiest of Birthdays.
He has been so kind to me
and
may I add to anyone who crosses his path.
You are the best Doggy Daddy around
and
I couldn't imagine anything better
than your soft touch and big smile.

So without further ado ~~
presents need to be opened.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ~ DADDY JIM!!!

You should see what I got for Daddy Jim's birthday?

I am sure  the BIRTHDAY BOY will let everyone see
what is in the envelope
and
three packages!

Colours, all kinds of colours
just make us all much more cheerful,
especially little ol' DOODLE ME.
I get all squiggly and squirmy!

So everyone wish Daddy Jim a mammoth
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
because he is the best,
as many of you already know from reading his blog
(hop over and tell him your true feelings!)
(just click his blog title)

AS I SAID ~~~~

~ Thank you for your patience ~

Never take a day for granted,
especially when the weather is so warm
and
so beautiful
at the beginning of December
in Nova Scotia

I am totally amazed at the view below as usual
but with an added pleasure
not usually seen
this time of year ~

~ a lone parasurfer
at ease with the waters
and
salty breezes
with a slight fog mist
covering everything
in sight.

~ at one with nature ~

~ hand raised in triumph ~

~ heading off into the sunset ~

 ~ to return instantly on a 180,
churning caramel waves
in his trail ~

So glad to see you Jim.
There's loads to see.

Hey Jim?
Don't fall over the edge.

I know the view can really mesmerize you.

DOWNTOWN DOODLE FUNK

Hey folks !!
It's your FUNKY DOWNTOWN DOODLE here.
Uh, huh it's me
and
since our new library is just about to open
I thought it only fit to show you a wee bit of one end of it.

Look 'way up

Don't tip over

Now relax and enjoy a smoother ride.

You can see white thingies in the windows
which I assume prevent birds from flying into the glass.
Fingers crossed.

The floors resemble stacked books askew.

Look everyone can help fill the library too.
Ron and Jim will be putting
stickers inside their book of choice
in memory of their mothers
after donating a wee bit to this new landmark.

Hey, Jim don't tip over.

This place is so high and all glass

and is just one street view
more to come another time.

OK, Jimbo whattaya think ?
Need a change of pace?
Sure you do !!
Let's get movin'

JOY REALLY IS ALL THERE IS

My life is pretty much the same each day
with maybe a variation in
destinations and ~

today was no exception
with the guys following me through the autumn dune grasses ~

I stopped for a second and the clicking began.
Must be something about the colours and lines
as the Dads always say.

All I know is I was blessed with blond locks
on my head and legs
and whenever the perfect moment appears
they begin their photo dance.

Even Ron plays with my colours
almost having me totally hidden in the grasses.
Mr. Orangie always gives me away though.

Jim takes the high road along the dune's edge.
Don't you love the rocks, grasses and sky,
not to mention Jimbo !?!

JOY really is all I can show you
when I reach the top of the dunes.
I truly LOVE arriving and descending upon the beach.

Jim,
although totally covered in layers
loves this beach too,
no matter what the season offers us and ~

I agree wholeheartedly,
because to leap and bound
to run and dive
inhaling and exhaling salty air
makes us healthier
every time we come.
