NO GETTING AWAY FROM ME!

I have DOODLE - VISION like you would not believe.
Jim took me down the hill to the beach for a moment.
Up we ascended the slippery white trail
and
there was my other guy
standing at the end of the guard rail waiting patiently.

I think he was taking untold amounts of pictures again!
Addictions could be worse, I guess!

GREETINGS TULA !!

I can' believe my eyes!

I've found/discovered a new friend named Tula,

who loves to run, jump, leap, spin 360's and flip in mid-air!

We connected immediately,
you know when one pup meets another pup
and life is perfect
just abso"toot"ley perfect.

Huh, someone's calling me Tula!
Next time!

"....and she leaped over my head
then spun around while I spun 180 degrees and ....."
really Jim it was the best time ever!

WINTRY BEACH TREASURES

 I don't know about you
but to sprawl prostrate on the fresh white snow
is my idea of heaven.

The weather has definitely set anchor
and is dealing us a major cold blow
 very early this year.

No matter, I still keep searching for the ever-elusive Doodle discovery.

The extensive number of rocks on the beach
just adds to the excitement of finding something that is edible
or just plain sniffable.

This seaweed always garners an extra sniff, lick and munch
if "THEY" don't catch me.

I don't know about you
but seaweed is consumed by many nowadays ~~~

so what's the big deal about me devouring a whole bunch?

It's nice and clean after being dashed to death by the wintry waves.

Well, if "THEY" want their way,
I'll just keep true to my quizzical nature.
After all I am a
 DOODLE EXPLORER TO THE CORE!!

FR-FR-FROZEN WATER

Look closely the next time you see some frost on a window,
the world is more than your think.

I've been racing around my backyard
teasing the guys
and
I finally have the time to stop
and check out what is around me.

In the garden shed window leaning against the frosted glass,
a brass water-catcher that chimes in the wind.
Not today though.

Now what's over here?

An icicle super frozen in time,
something for me to lick.
Afterall, my middle name is LICKER!

 The delicate lacework of Jack Frost
really can be intricate and super amazing.
Don't breath on it though!

With another storm coming today
I think I better remind the guys
to put the ladder away.
Ol' Man Winter has come to visit us early this year.
Fine with me,
but I know the peeps are having a tricky time with it.

BACKYARD, MY BACKYARD IS FULL OF SNOW

Yes, what you see is what you get this fine Sunday
in my neighbourhood.
SNOW and plenty of it
mixed with frozen rain/sleet pellets
driving winds
and
a hopping good time in my backyard.

I'm checking out all my favourite haunts
especially where I hid my soup bone in the video.

Super frisky moments ~~~

just get me galloping full force

stopping for a snow sniff

and a quick snowball paw-gnaw
those can hurt you know.

Now I feel a whole lot better!
The snow always does this to me.
I love the winter!

EDNA'S RESTAURANT FOR THE GUYS!!

I gots to make this fast,
a major ZOOOOOM around the backyard
before I'm whisked away to daycare for a few hours,
because the guys are going to a birthday dinner
at Edna's Restaurant for Jim's bro Dennis.

Apparently, the guys take pictures of inanimate objects too.

I thought I was the No. 1 subject
but I guess taking pictures in restaurants
has snagged their attention ~~~ even if it's a blurry 'SPECIAL'.

The vino list and other liquid assundries

waiting for the Birthday Boy and partner to show up
everything looks so neat and tidy

above the long bench style table
was this hanging multi-piece lampware unit

the menu sat waiting patiently for them to open it

across the way was a long bar under lit
with just enough lightning to show up the seats,
I could have really done a number on any crumbs dropped over there.

corn fritters stacked neatly
which didn't last too long

The Big Spruce micro-brewed beer was Dennis' choice for the evening.

Dennis and Jackie talk to the smart Edna-lady
and she really helped with the final decisions

Wine, Water and Beer flowed freely

Here are three different plates from
 thickly cut steak
to arctic char
to vichyssoise soup.

Coffee always helps to finish off a great meal
especially helping to settle the tummy
if you know what I mean.

They all had a nice and easy dining experience
and Dennis' BIRTHDAY SMILE tells it all.
~~~
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DENNY!!
1st QUARTER MOON RISING
 Bright, crisp, clear and fresh this is my 'today' moment for you,
but behind me faintly can be seen ~~~
in the upper left-hand corner
the 1st Quarter Moon.
This phase of the moon arises at noon hour
and I just happen to be here, perfect timing.
With the moon still in view, I have to keep my eye on Jim who decided to walk the main trail
because his footwear wasn't the right kind for these tricky snow covered trails.
 There he is camouflaged in the middle of the picture.
Now you can see why I have to keep and eye on him,
he blends so easily.
Jim has been rounded up and lead back
to where we started.
The moon seems to help with all this need I have
of keeping everyone together.
