JUST A MOUTHFUL

Heading around the furthermost tip of Point Pleasant Park today ~~~

the calmness and serenity of the North West Arm ~~~

propelled us along as we trekked,

mindfully taking in the breathes of the ocean and woods.

This crow became stone-like perched motionlessly ~~

waiting for us to whisk by
because if you look very closely
s/he had a mouthful of deliciousness.

  1. "A mouthful of deliciousness," Sophie, you are getting good with the words. I have to remember that next time I see a raven feasting here. Looks like you had a beautiful walk and how I love the smell of sea and woods.

    1. The distinctive fragrance/aromas of the woods and ocean make one feel so complete. I know you have special fragrances in your world too, don't you?

  4. I can't see what the crow has. Maybe it's a Christmas cookie. He should have shared with you, Sophie.

    1. I tried desperately to make the mouthful more visible but The Crow wasn't going to have anything to do with that. Thus the hidden image, but let me tell you "A XMAS COOKIE" sounds pretty darn SCRUMPITORIOUS to me!!!!

      WINKERS!!!!

  11. Beautiful photos and beautiful place. What a wonderful area to take a walk in. Looks like winter hasn't found you yet. Whatever it is that helps you keep hidden, you must share your secret! Well, winter came around here for a bit, and decided to leave again. The snow has melted and it's mild. No complaints on my end!

  13. Hey, Sophie, you are one lucky dog to live where you live and have such nice owners to show you such beauty! Yesterday in Georgia, it tied a record at 75 degrees. Today it is in the 40's! Never mind, it could be a lot worse! Have a great weekend!

    1. Hi Kay G. ~~~ your 75 F temps sounds so wonderful, but when it drops like that to 40F you are going to need a sweater I bet.

Have a great weekend and see you later!
