1st QUARTER MOON RISING

Bright, crisp, clear and fresh this is my 'today' moment for you,
but behind me faintly can be seen ~~~

in the upper left-hand corner
the 1st Quarter Moon.

This phase of the moon arises at noon hour
and I just happen to be here, perfect timing.

With the moon still in view, I have to keep my eye on Jim who decided to walk the main trail
because his footwear wasn't the right kind for these tricky snow covered trails.

There he is camouflaged in the middle of the picture.
Now you can see why I have to keep and eye on him,
he blends so easily.

Jim has been rounded up and lead back
to where we started.
The moon seems to help with all this need I have
of keeping everyone together.

    1. Last night a mini-blizzard snagged us on the way home from dining in the city. Sophie was at day care and so 45 minutes later we picked her up, winding the old road and made it home.

      Relaxing today!

    1. Yes, plenty of trees along this very narrow piece of land connecting the high points of land at either end of the beach. Some day this will all be washed away!!

  16. You're such a good herder, Sophie! How you could concentrate on keeping Daddy Jim in line with all that gorgeous scenery around you I don't know! But then we gals have to keep the guys on track, don't we? It's a full time job! LOL! Looks like your Christmas party was fun ~ and now I've learned from you how I can use some of my school photos without showing students faces. Mucho gracias!
