Miraculous Sky, Light & Sea Spray!

The other day the beach was quite amazing particularly with the clouds in the sky and the off land breezes. The sea spray was quite profound due to the speed and power of the winds from the northwest. The size of the spray is very obvious in these shots. As I've noticed before, the waves travel in groups, and every 7th wave was a spectacular show.

I thought the rocks had more to offer with seaweed and sticks. I always locate one or the other to devour or chew on.

In The Heather....cont'd!

From out of nowhere, a Weimaraner,
a gorgeous shade of ghost grey
 scooted  into the melee
and was gone as fast as he arrived.

As you can see, Deacon still has my ball,
in some circles...
isn't this known as being
a ballhog/ballpup/balldog!

It seemed like Sierra needed to assist Deacon and the two of them became one.
Gees, I offer my plaything and they end up bullying me.
I'll show them who owns this ball.

Just a quick, steady and sturdy 2 legged headlock and
a deliberate snarl and growl
then....see below
ha hah!

Do you see the satisfaction in my eyes?
(all this time, my big blue bell rang like mad)

We were very satisfied with our rough housing and
so sauntered up the road with the knowledge that tonight would be
sweet, sweet dreams...
yes, I was so exhausted.

In The Heather!

I met Deacon, a Vizsla, yesterday in Point Pleasant Park.
I used my "Let's Play" manouever with him and he played right into my hands.
Just like a good bluff in bridge, I think!

The heather was the perfect place to rest our haunches
and for me
to figure out how to get that ball back in my mouth.

Deacon was a sleek and strong competitor.
I really noticed that he 'clicked into' the process immediately.
Not too often do I find a willing and able 4 legged that plays so well.

Nice shot of our backs walking side by side
across the road to another patch of heather!

We charged into the humongous heather bed
and from out of nowhere came
 Sierra, a Heinz 57,
wanting to try her stealth moves to secure the ever-elusive orange ball.

So, what happens?
Until next time
hang in there!

Nose Detection!

It's very simple...

It's all in the aim...

and the delivery!

And the sweet satisfaction
of knowing
I'll get it
the next time
too!

My Spring Dance!

This is my special canine maneuver to enchant Spring,
with first, my 4 legs in the air....

Then, a quick chew on the right hind leg is paramount....

All of a sudden, something comes over me and my front legs reach for the skies...

PHEW!
What happened?
I think I was possessed!

Hey, you looking at me?!
There, now, that feels so much better!

Which Way is Spring?

OK!
Everyone is saying it's Spring
then
which direction
is it?
Left....right!
North...South!
East....West!
Up....Down!
This is mighty confusing
when it's
so
ch ch ch chilly willy
out there.
No matter,
as long as
I can
snuggle
with you know
who,
then
Spring
can
arrive
whenever
it wants to.

Number 2!

Hi Everyone!
Just thought you might like to know something.

The number 2 can mean many things
like 2 pics of me on the beach at low tide...

Or it could mean 2 pics of me at high tide.

and not to mention 2 pics of me with raging seas all around.

I, so, enjoy the meandering along the trail after playing on the beach. This means we are on the home stretch and heading for the car. Notice 2 more pics!

Ron's need to take my picture constantly doesn't bother me anymore. At first, I didn't quite understand what it all meant. Sophie...Come Here!
Sophie...Sit
Sophie...Stay
Now I get it and like anything...it just comes naturally!
Once again 2 pics!

And Jim is attached to his 2 Nordic Poles.

I guess the main reason
I bring up the number 2
 is because today is
 Daddy Jim's & Daddy Ron's
wedding anniversary!
Two years of being "hitched".
Of course, there are a whole lot of years prior to this date since 1973, but I thought you all should know why the number 2 is so important and that I am so happy today, for them!!
Oh yeah, one other thing
....Happy Spring to All!
