SURROUNDED !?!

Yes, this particular morning we were surrounded ~~

completely girdled, almost smothered, in fog.

Even across the road from the main beach
you normally can see the lake,

but it wasn't about to happen
because the air temp was just spot on to produce all this fog.

Hey, catch up!
I'm all the way down here!

Nothing like catching some moody pictures
especially when  SNOWY OWL X 2 are over there
hiding in this eerie 'Hitchcockian' fog.

BWAH HAH HAH HAAAA!!
( "it's a little creepy with the fog and all" says Kathleen Quinlan)

JUST KEEP MOVING!

Knowing what happened to
Daddy Ron a month and 1/2 ago
and Daddy Jim 5 years ago
WALKING
is our daily routine ~~~

Whether the weather
is spilling down torrentially
like it was recently

or when the blue skies surround us at Fort Needham

or when the hills become a challenge

or when I defeat the hills and roll on them

or when Rainbow Haven is visited
and the tide is out leaving rocks with a few ducks scooting around

or when I have to catch up
because we have to keep the pace with our leader

I know both my Dads will take on these challenges
and I will help them
just like they help me when I need their love and support.
~~~
PS: Daddy Ron got another great report from his Doctor
and all his readings are in the exactly where they need to be!
I think it's time for another walk!
MY KIND of NIRVANA
You wouldn't believe what I saw over this way folks!
Follow me!
The darkness and shadows can be mighty scary sometimes,
but really come along ~~~
Do you see them?
Pussy Willows!
 In the middle of my heather beds at the park.
Soft little buds wanting to be touched
but Mr. Orangie nixed that for me.
Jim always enjoys
my JOY of MR. ORANGIE
and
finding pussy willows in the mix ~~
NIRVANA!!
TIMBERRRRRR !!!
Oh Hi over there!
I'm Doodle-supervising again.
We've had some rain and wind events here lately ~~~
and this tall gangly tree has to come down
Jim and the next door neighbour with all the tools
are going to fell the tree this morning.
So Jim secured a rope from a nearby tree to the ladder
to protect the shed roof, Yay!!
And from my vantage point
all looks mighty fine and safe.
A short period of saws whirring and buzzing
and the tree came tumbling down.
Now I can go sniffing behind the shed again
without any worries.
~~~
Thanks Dave for helping us!!

DOUBLE OUR PLEASURE

that had come to visit us
a few months ago at one of the beaches nearby.

Jim headed directly from the parking lot across the road
safely perched on the embankment as
SNOWY OWL
flew to the top of a tree.

OK Jim, let's get moving
follow me to the beach and
please be careful of that road you are walking on!

Sheesh!
 You'd think that SNOWY OWL
was something special or something.

Just for a change we decided to take a new/old path
because, well, we just wanted to.

Good decision!
Because as I sat snuggled next to Jim,
Ron went down on the sand and discovered
SNOWY OWL #2

nestled quietly by him/herself
wondering I'm sure if we would disappear
as quickly as we arrived.

No chance of me disturbing our discovery.

Jim took his turn,
working slowly down and around the viewing area.

After an unexpected flight closer to the houses,
Jim got his pictures  and returned.

Unexpected pleasures can be doubled in the wink of an eye.
If we hadn't taken the new/old path, well,
SNOWY OWL #2
wouldn't have become part of memory.

SPRING ~YES ~ IT IS HERE!!!

As the sun sets in the west over the marshlands
not more than a stone's throw away
I sniff and sniff my garden trails
looking for anything
left from this winters long smothering of whiteness, cold and bitter winds.

But all I can find are my croci

which blend into the bank heading to the garden shed

Jim and I are concentrated on our own interests for sure

mine is more animal / bird oriented
while Jim's photography has grabbed his attention

The perkiness and vivid colours of these croci
seems to encourage us

 as we stroll
picking up debris
brushing things aside
noticing lots of changes

I do enjoy my time as I completely scour
every nock and cranny
because crows drop things you know,
yummy things!!!

PS: FOR NOW
~ THE WORD VERIFICATION ~
 HAS RETURNED BECAUSE OF ANNOYING SPAMMERS.

'NOT' MY KIND OF EASTER BONNET

Sporting head paraphernalia
or in this case neck paraphernalia
just isn't what I expected this spring.

Conehead / Coneneck
(be kind OK!)

With all this being said ~
I'm very good with all the rigmarole involved

The plastic tabs connecting the cone are a pain in the butt
(which has a double entendre)
but I stand so very still,
treats work well with this problem.

While I sport my temporary Conehead
Jim sports his handmade socks
made by a friend's Mom,
nice and warm they are.

Such is my life for awhile
just a giant cone
with a loving Doodle
waiting to be released.

Right now I rest and snooze
waiting for my infected lady parts to heal.
I may not like the Conehead look
but I do sense it's supposed to be a good thing!
