CONTINUING DOWN THE ROAD ~~~~

we headed off down one of the other Gaspereau valley roads and ~~~

ended up here on a huge farm called

As you can see below there are many sheep ready to be sheered

and

 these 2 cute black lambs
huddling together
as we poked our noses around the corner
of the entrance.
I think they are used to nosy photographers and Doodles!

The piece de resistance was the humongous wool shop
across the yard from the sheep.
Jim marched right in and headed over to the displays
to check out the offerings and to take pictures.
Surprise surprise!

Just look at the colours and offerings of merino wools.

more to touch and hold
and to decide whether to go with heather colours
or pales or ~~~~

however by this time Jim's eye spied this
unbelievable Icelandic Sheepskin pelt
for a mere $300!!

mighty soft isn't it Jim!!

As we ventured from the farm and onto the road
this horse was giving us the eye,
but late afternoon was reminding us
it was time to head back home ~ ~

so with that all under my belt
to walking the Gaspereau Canal
to swimming in the canal
to driving down the country roads
to discovering sheep and lambs
to touching so much wool
I can honestly say that my world is complete
with love and peace.

As always my friends,
NAMASTE!!

HOW I FIND MY INNER PEACE

Firstly, I stare at the guys
every morning
which means
"let's go for a walk"
on the grassy dunes.

This time of year the wild strawberries are in full bloom.
Abundance is what I am finding,
~~ everywhere strawberry blossoms ~~

I'm a DOODLE ON A MISSION as usual,
so the rocks above the beach
need a complete sweep
and

with the new flock of surfers taking over the waters
I must make sure they are in safe waters

That's mighty exhausting for an 8 year old DOODLE,
so I'll plunk myself down here
and
gnaw on Mr. Orangie for awhile!!

followed by a
BACK SCRATCHING
session
of monumental proportions!

That FEELS so good!
(try saying that with your tongue sticking out of your mouth!)

so THIS is
my INNER PEACE routine
pretty much daily.
Sorry but I must continue on,
my nose has picked up
a scent
a sweet aroma
a mind-blowing fragrance,
give me some time
and
I will figure this one out.

PEACE IN THE AIR

It's as simple
 as going for a walk
and absorbing everything around you.
Feel the air
Smell the air
Taste the air
Hear the air
Imagine the air

These flags greet us every morning
as we open the side door to enter the garden.
So quiet and peaceful
spreading words of joy and love
through the air.

~ You really can feel it ~

So by the time we reach the beach
we have enough to share
with everyone we meet.

A TREE SEEDLING & MORE

In my world when you are surrounded
like the wild mustangs on the open plains
like Robin Hood and his Merry Men
like the tree canopy of the Applachians
there is bound to be a seedling ~

like this one hiding in the hinoki shrub

wedged neatly within the cupped green needle-like extensions

far below the mother maple tree

not distant from the fothergilla shrub saved from loss years ago

around the corner from mountain ash growing happily with the white pine

where the pine needles fall onto the teak chaise lounger

where high above the Virginia Creeper takes advantage of this year's display

I look up, way up
and smell the air
because it's time for my garden
to ready for slumber,
not until the colour spills everywhere though.
Enjoy!

THEY ARE EVERYWHERE !!

Unbeknownst to me and Mr. Orangie
life does continue on
whether fast forward or slow and methodical

This swoop of birds narrowly misses us
as we walk the beach this time of year.

They really have no fear of us
because I suspect they know we come in peace.

Landing far enough away
affords them time to snatch up morsels.
Those things that are always here in the autumn months.

We were presented with an array of birds the other morning
zipping around above
catching flies that kept bumping into us.

I swam while Jim took photos of all the birds.

Even this seagull was interested in the excitement
and hovered over us from time to time.

On the ground the waves would sneak up on the birds
making them hop and jump all over the rocks.
Their minds were still on those edibles.

Far off over the lake
you can see more birds
knowing that this place is a goldmine!

Jim always finds his serenity along the edge of the shoreline,

 while I body-surf with the birds
focusing on my nemesis, Mr. Orangie.
So whether pacing slowly or fast like a dart,
our world always gives us what we need
~~
PEACE OF MIND & BODY

Peace in many ways!

Are you keeping up with me?
I told you last time that I had more to share with you.

Well, by the time we reached the end of the beach some surfers began to arrive.

I kept my eye on them because sometimes they call me over.
A free nuzzle always makes the beach visit that more enjoyable.

 I kept my eye on Jim while he got his feet wet.
I guess someone wasn't paying any attention.....'SNICKER'DOODLE!!

So as I was saying ~~~
 more surfers had their eyes on their goal
~~~ the perfect wave ~~~
It's as if they are in a trance
seriously
nothing will stop the march of the determined surfer.
These guys had already made it out into smooth wave action.
A seal had arrived and was sizing them up.
It was just on the other side of that ripple
and they thought it wanted to join in.
 Guess not!
Quick!
This could be it!
I couldn't show you the disappointment on their faces.
The wave just faded away.
But look at this guy coming!
He had this smile on his face the entire walk down the beach.
A quick adjustment and out he paddled with guys and the seal.
Jim had managed to fulfill his inner peace
like he usually does
with a saunter after some Qi Gong moves,
while this fellow paddled ever so slowly
watching the birds fly by...
careening on the air currents
around MacDonald Hill.
Time to go home
and
have breakfast!
I know I worked up a good DoodleAppetite!
~~~
Peace to all my friends!
Tomorrow is Canada Day!
