HOW I FIND MY INNER PEACE

Firstly, I stare at the guys
every morning
which means
"let's go for a walk"
on the grassy dunes.

This time of year the wild strawberries are in full bloom.
Abundance is what I am finding,
~~ everywhere strawberry blossoms ~~

I'm a DOODLE ON A MISSION as usual,
so the rocks above the beach
need a complete sweep
and

with the new flock of surfers taking over the waters
I must make sure they are in safe waters

That's mighty exhausting for an 8 year old DOODLE,
so I'll plunk myself down here
and
gnaw on Mr. Orangie for awhile!!

followed by a
BACK SCRATCHING
session
of monumental proportions!

That FEELS so good!
(try saying that with your tongue sticking out of your mouth!)

so THIS is
my INNER PEACE routine
pretty much daily.
Sorry but I must continue on,
my nose has picked up
a scent
a sweet aroma
a mind-blowing fragrance,
give me some time
and
I will figure this one out.

  6. It pretty much looks like a "Perfect Day" to me Ron. And I don't buy for a second that Jim was "slaving"... nice try! I bet that back scratch felt good Sophie! Love the surfer shot BTW Ron.

    1. Jim tends to exaggerate sometimes, but actually he was "SLAVING" because he is moving his shop into a new and larger room. It's all coming together though! This week is a busy week for Mid-Century Maniac Man!!

The surfer shot was originally lack lustre, so I flicked a few editing options and presto. You must try editing, you'll get hooked! Guaranteed!

  7. I'd love to be able to find inner peace as easily as Sophie. Maybe I need a beach filled with pastel-colored rocks.

    1. Our shores are covered in rocks so we always spend time scanning the trail ion front of us. I loved finding so much seaglass on Prince Edward Island a few years ago. It was unreal how much there was. Now with rocks it gives plenty of ideas for some people to use their crafty minds. We have a hanging rock / driftwood piece that Jim's sister gave us. It is a perfect, simple piece.
Now for inner piece ~ always a practice in motion ~ wake up / deep breath / work on inner peace!
All the best to you and J!

    1. Sophie has gotten older this year, acting a wee bit slower most of the time but like a torpedo when near the water. We've had 8 great years thus far with her and hopefully more. Her love of life is contagious especially these days.
I must say Martha that your entries re: your life experiences really are so well written. Maybe, just maybe something more fulfilling 'to set you just fine' as you grow older can come from this. Helping others somehow, a short/long story of survival. Just thinking out loud!
