Floppy Ears!

Down on the grassy dunes at Lawrencetown Beach, the ball keeps me active.
When the guys separate on the walk I know the running is going to start.
With this new haircut, my floppy ears are more visible, especially on a foggy day.

This is the best place to run because it's grassy, non-rocky and safe for my feet.

These guys seem to be enjoying themselves. A quick walk always is invigorating. It also, helps to settle me if I have to visit friends after. We are so lucky to be able to have this at our finger/pawtips!

Sandra...My Coiffeur

This is where I got my hair done.
Thought you might like to meet Sandra.
She is the creator of my 'look'.

Sandra owns 'Scruff to Fluff' and is a certified groomer.
We discovered her through our friends, Mary and Cathy at Country Critter Sitters. She has groomed the gals' dogs and they highly recommended her.
Since this is our 3rd visit, I would say we are very pleased with her creations.
Sandra is a very happy person and her love of dogs is so obvious.

So the guys left me with Sandra and I sniffed the place out.
Lots of puppies have been here.
As you know, all puppies have there own scent.

The guys are back.
You can see my hair all over the floor.
So happy to see them arrive.
2 1/2 hrs and it's the new me.
I see you guys/gals out there.
Here I come!

Jim puts me on a leash because there is a pond just outside the door(a very stinky pond).
I jumped into it in April, the last time I was here. They weren't too happy with me.

Hi Ho...I'm ready to go!
Actually, I'm happy with the cut.
So let's get in the car and get back home.

BEFORE AND AFTA!

OK, so they've done, did, 'doodle' it again to me!

Just look at me now!
(is that a line from a song?)

Another haircut! Is it really necessary?
This will last another 5 months I suppose and get me through the winter.

Max and the Dudette

A much needed beach walk was had this afternoon.
We hadn't been to Lawrencetown Beach most of the summer spending most of our beach time at Conrad's instead. I was so glad we made that decision because this is where I met another new friend, Max and his surfer dudette.

He is young and full of it.

Again, my ball was a major attraction.

I've got my eye on you.

Don't even think you're going to get your slobbery lips on my ball!

Come on Max...try it!

Hey...how did that happen?

You're fast, real fast!

Come on Max.
Here boy!
Give it up.
Seriously, I'll let you have it next time with out all this fuss.

This is a learning moment, really!

I've learned to share!

Italian Greyhound sighting!

OK now, here we are ambling slowly up the hill from the parking lot checking out  the trees and shrubs noticing the obvious change of colour that's developing. I am sniffing the ground with the power and direction of a vacuum cleaner. I know there was something special just here not more than 5 minutes ago. My speed increases as I near the corner near the top of the trail. I know I'll find out what's going on with this smell.

HELLO!......What is this? I can't believe my eyes and nose. This picture just doesn't register....What am I looking at?

It's a WHAT?
Say that again!
An Italian Greyhound...
YES
An Italian Greyhound
What a sweetheart.
Such a delicate little fellow with the name of Hamish.

Uhm, Jim can I play with Hamish? I'll even share the ball....please, please, please!

Listen, Hamish next time you are here, look me up and I know we'll be able to play. We really must get going. Next time....!

Apparition....!?

OK what is this entering into my photo?
Is it an appartion,
a supernatural appearance,
a phantom,
a ghost,
a spectre,
a presence,
a doppleganger
just what is it!?

I was just sitting on the grass minding my own business when from out of nowhere appeared this......!

English Mastiff by the name of Chuma.

He's a big sucker, 160lbs and as gentle as a lamb!

The quick burst of energy quickly dissipated and the ball became our focus.

We sauntered off to explore some more of the areas of the park that were dog friendly.

I really liked Chuma.
Hope I run into him again!

1st Day of Fall!

This pm we went for a walk on Stony Beach.
Ron got my attention right away with my ball!

Alright you've got it, Ron. Now, if I stand still will you throw the ball?

Yes, it worked. The river is flowing into the ocean so I have to be careful. I'll make this fast 'cause the current is strong!

As you can see, the tide is out.
This being the autumnal equinox, the tides are extreme and in this case, the tide is very far out.

Is that YOU looking at me?!
You may not know this but I can see you.

HI there!
.....anytime.....
I say
....anytime you feel like coming to see me....
my paws are open wide!

Out for a Deck Walk

I'm up and walking around on the deck.
Fresh air and sunshine,
(deep inhale)
Smells like, like, like
___________!
(you tell me!)

Sick today!

With the autumnal equinox just around the corner, the cooler weather and change in temps have affected my ear canal. The vet said we have to keep my ear canals cleaned regularly. With all the swimming this summer, I managed to keep all cleaned out with shaking my head and torso.
This happened in the spring too. The guys have a special concoction for my ear and they have administered their magic on me.

I've snuggled up to Jim and his arm is underneath me. He isn't going to get away.

This is how I feel inside, just a bit woozy and sleepy.
