FOG ALARM ¸¸.•*¨*•
The fog has settled in
so come along
why don't you ~
ambling along my favourite paths
in my favourite park ~
with my 2 favourite guys
and their trusty cameras ~
sometimes can be dark and foreboding ~
but once we spend an hour
walking the paths
we sometimes head for the streets ~~
where the colours are brighter and seem to pop ~

always paying attention to rules of the road
even if the fog horn
sounds in the background!!

TOUCH of COOL FOG
Can you feel it?
Oh yes, the refreshing touch of cool fog
slowly gliding in from over the ocean.
It softens the landscape giving the view a muted cover ~
sifting across the beach rock
up and over
to the other side
where we walk and park our car
the lake on the other side of the parking lot
is smothered in sunset clouds
protected from the ocean's fickle nature
up on the hill
I manage to sniff out a choice spot
just as the sunset
descends for the evening
Cool fog and Sunsets
this is what makes my day
and
hopefully yours!!

SLOW & EASY JUST LIKE FOG
Capturing fog photos is always inevitable in our world ~~
The month of July has always been a super foggy time of year
and from out of nowhere looms a tug boat
perhaps guiding one of those ginormous cruise ships into our harbour
I do know for certain that
when one is recouperating from surgery
that taking it slow and easy
is the most sensible route to take.
That's what Jim and I did on my 1st walk in the park today.
We met Ron at the boardwalk
waiting patiently
as the fog
slipped in and out
over the lighthouse and harbour.

CLAM HARBOUR BEACH PT 2
Oh HI there!
You finally caught up to me
just a moment while I dig this hole to New Zealand !!
Winks for Jean!
(go check her out my friends!!!)
(go check her out my friends!!!)
Yes, we are continuing our stroll on Clam Harbour Beach ~
not Crab Harbour Beach in the least.
Jim has me exercising like a fool,
must be because it's so flat and I really need a workout.
Mr. Orangie will never get lost in the fog
while I have my DOODLE EYES on him.
Jim seems to be in good humour
no doubt Ron said something so funny
Jim just couldn't contain himself ..... or NOT!!
These little fellers were strewn all over the sand.
Sea Gooseberries are a familiar sight
on the beaches this time of year.
Not only do we find those little gems
looking like jellied diamonds all over the beach but ~~
as I discovered very unexpectedly that life can turn the other way very quickly
Daddy Jim is pointing at a carcass behind him
and which I am heading over to sniff.
YIKES!!
A seal offered up by the ocean
A seal offered up by the ocean
and without a moment's thought we scooped each other up
and departed from this area.
I know folks what you are thinking
but guess what I did not sniff it,
I left it alone.
Aren't you proud of me?
Such is the way of life and death on a beach.
I have witnessed so many things as I saunter along our sandy beaches,
but today was a milestone
because I left the beach without a whiff of a scent of seal on my coat.
Years ago I would have dove onto it.
Does that mean I'm growing up?
Me thinks so!

CLAM HARBOUR BEACH PT 1
JOY seems to follow me everywhere I go!
While on our way to Clam Harbour Beach,
as we walked along their boardwalk,
this 10 week old Golden Doodle came out of the woods and attacked us.
I saved the guys and we continued on ~~~
Jim, Hey Jim!
We are waiting for you.
Don't pay any attention to the sign below,OK !!
I didn't!
But for Pete's sake,
HURRY!
This way to a new beach for me
but a familiar one for the guys
The sand is perfect for constructing and
attracting many people in August for the event.
But today the signs are all we can see in the fog I might add.
But that doesn't stop me in the least.
Beaches are made for running and hopping!
Correcto-mondo!
HURRY!
Phew, Jim made it to the beach!
Now let's get going!
Don't mind the fog because I didn't.
~~~
To be continued !!
SURROUNDED !?!
Yes, this particular morning we were surrounded ~~
completely girdled, almost smothered, in fog.
Even across the road from the main beach
you normally can see the lake,
but it wasn't about to happen
because the air temp was just spot on to produce all this fog.
Hey, catch up!
I'm all the way down here!
Nothing like catching some moody pictures
especially when SNOWY OWL X 2 are over there
hiding in this eerie 'Hitchcockian' fog.
BWAH HAH HAH HAAAA!!
( "it's a little creepy with the fog and all" says Kathleen Quinlan)
JIM AND SOPHIE
(if you are a bird lover then I suggest you don't look,
but if you are a glutton for scary stuff
then go ahead and view)
