THE MERRY MONTH OF MAY

My "1/2 cup full" philos'
has been on full speed ahead
over the passed couple of weeks.
With a smile and Mr. Orangie
in tow ~

allow me to introduce Harley
my very young companion
and
Mr. Orangie filcher
(that is a word right ~
click the yellow word!?!)
Nothing but good energy here 😍!!!

The sand is returning to my favourite beach again.
It is always so soul-refreshing to inhale the salty
Atlantic Ocean
chase for Mr. Orangie
and
feel so Doodle~complete.

On an entirely different note:
Look here!
This is a Baltimore Oriole
frolicking and rollicking
in our azalea and cherry trees.
1st time seeing this beauty.
Happy Camper, indeed.

The Merry Month of May brings rain
and in this case
gazillions of droplets
covering everything insight.
This is a very very close up view of the beauty of an azalea blossom.
Enjoy!

Back to the beach again!
Fetching and swimming
helps me lose the 10 pounds
that my vet decided was necessary.
So, drum roll
I lost 7 pounds
and
I am overjoyed
and
continuing with my new diet.

This raindrop sparkle
truly helps me see life easier.

Even the wild strawberries appear joyful.
What is it about all this anyway?

Cedar waxwing Joy!
Six lovelies landed on my cherry tree
and
proceeded to eat the cherry blossoms.
They visited for a few minutes
and
swoosh
they were gone
but not before my Daddy Ron captured this beauty.

Re-acquainting our lives with a salt marsh pond along the trail
has been upper most on my walks with Daddy Ron.

When one has the trail and a backyard
full of nature
the light and shadow
just stops one in their tracks ~
just like me below!

So are you coming or not ?

TWITCHY KITTY, KITTY !!

I heard a MEOW,
over there ~~
Did you?

~ under the dripping ornamental crabapple ~

I'll just slowly slip quietly along the deck.

 Guess what?
I was whisked away
over the bridge to Halifax
to the park.
Listen!
Did you hear that?

THAT must be what I heard !
~ a quiet, solitary kitty
lounging on the back of a comfy chair
checking out everyone
that meanders by ~

This kitty looks zonked or something!

But I assure you,
my house is 30 kms away
and
I know for a fact
that this kitty was using ESP
to let me know that
s/he wanted me to know that ~

this little American Goldfinch was making s/he real twitchy!
Real Twitchy!!

JUST LAZING AROUND

The spring warmth has spread across our backyard.
So when I heard our neighbour's doggy yipping it up,
I just had to slip under the rhododendrons
and check out the fuss.

Nothing came of that so I helped Daddy Jim lay another row of pavers
circling near the corkscrew witch hazel.
He loves to spend his time doing this kind of thing
and
I supervise.

We have been having soft spring rains
throughout this week
which has forced the magnolias
to show us what they are made of.
Almost like silver I'd say!

Many speckled violas were saturated in fine droplets
of rain and Daddy Ron was in his element.
I supervised.

The yarn placed in the Japanese Maple was covered in raindrops as well.
These strands are for the birds if they want them.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

On my deck the yews are growing leaps and bounds
so the new hedge clippers
(a find at a yard sale.....YAY!)
are snip snip snipping away.
I supervise!

That's tiring work I must say.
Time for a snooze, a slight zephyr of wind zipping across, wind chimes
and
a morning's work well-done.
I supervised.

THIS IS MY WATER WORLD

With spring fully entrenched
and
 the ice-packed winter roads gone
"fully disappearing in the rear view mirror.....thank you so very much",
we decided to go swimming at the lake.

I love water!
 When you are a DOODLE
both sides of your lineage are water-logged
so  I've been known to flop into a puddle or a swamp.
Yes, the guys do keep an eye on me.
Lighten up, Guys!

I was out sniffing some flowers this morning in the garden
and there they were
"the water droplets on the cowslips"
I have a keen eye when there is any form of water nearby.

 "Tidal Meanderings"
perfectly describes the beach this evening
as we captured the last rays of light
along this stretch of land.
Any time you want to take a special moment
and be delighted in a world
of creativity,
travel,
foods,
beautiful photography
and
the sheer joy of life
then skip over to Vicki's blog
2 Bags Full < click here
and I promise
you will only be amazed
at the beauty that she has to offer this world.
Now go on, click that link and visit her!

The soft spring rains smothered 'the sanguinaria ~ blood root' in droplets as well.
(Normally the bloodroot is white
but creative licence played upon my soul
so it is now pink.)

Neapolitan ice cream cone
that's what it looks like to me.

The sanquinaria petals spread their wings
as the sun broke through the layers of clouds
evaporating the last of the rain droplets.

I'll be dreaming tonight, no doubt water will be featured.
So looking forward to tomorrow
so I can practice my dog paddle and fetch Mr. Orangie.
