MIKE & SUSAN HI-JACK MY BLOG

 Mike & Susan
^click^
I showed them how I could levitate Mr. Orangie
while I stood on 2 legs.
Cool, eh !

I also showed them that "TAILGATE PARTIES"
can be set up anywhere
even if there isn't a party.

Apparently, Ron does weird things with his right hand fingers.
Look at them!

With Peggy's Cove nearby we took in the view
just before I dove into the pond to fetch Mr.O !

I found an ol' yeller tennis ball in the cracks of the rocks.
Mighty air-conditioned and soggy!!

Ron was taking pictures of his brother Mike as he
managed the boulders.

Later we arrived at Queensland Beach
well known for it white sandy beaches.
This beach is very popular in the summer time.

Ron and Jim used to swim here all the time in the 70's
and returning brings back so many memories!

Ron is holding Mr. Orangie.
"When is he going to throw it?"

Another day we visited downtown Halifax.
Ron said that one day he was standing on this corner
and saw/met 5 people that he knew.

Mike, Susan & Ron visited the Halifax Pubic Gardens
while Jim and I walked the perimeter.
The roses apparently were prolific inside
just look at these!

Sometimes I would look through the wrought iron fence
and see Ron, Mike and Susan meandering around.
Ron saw me!

This was the best visit because Ron and Mike
living so far from each other
finally had a chance to spend some time together.
Life throws curves for us all
and these 2 have had their curves to follow.
I really like this photo
because
the 2 brothers are learning from each other again.

~~~
THANK YOU!!
Thank you Mike and Susan for sending these photos.
You are the best!
RE-CONNECTION
Last week
was an unexpected period of
 re-connection
 re-affirmation
and
re-awakening.
Family visitor's,
one's that I only knew when Ron was on the phone talking to them
entered my life and shared themselves.
 I only saw it fit to share my world with them
along the shores of Stony Beach.
Taking advantage of the beaches
is No. 1 on their list
because they live many miles (kms) away
in Alberta.
One sojourn had us snooping about the Halifax waterfront
and Ron and I waited patiently for his brother, Mike and SIL Susan
while they milled about the market inside the building
which I might add is off limits to you know who.
I really like Mike
so I began my relentless gift
of bringing Mike into my arena, my fold
with my miraculous staring technique.
Do you think it's working?
I do because Mike is getting ready to put a big wet one on me.
Really he is !!
I miss them so much !
PERFECT WEATHER ON THE WATERFRONT
Thanks for returning on THANKSGIVING WEEK.
(I've named it WEEK because Mike and Susan came for a whole week ~~ TA DA )
Do you think my DOODLE RADAR will keep them out of trouble?
Everyone needs to be careful along the harbour boardwalk
because just one wrong step to the right
and into the drink you fall.
( It has been known to happen )
Susan, Jim and Mike discuss lots of different topics
as I sit beside Ron.
~~~
For some reason Ron holds me tight
because when I was a 'wee one' I almost jumped off the boardwalk
because, well because,
I wanted to.
 The water made me do it and that's what I'm sticking to.

Susan looks mighty cool in her new red woolen jacket she purchased yesterday
at the MacDonald Hill Tea House.

Jim is such a good guy.
He said he'd take care of me
while Ron slipped into
with Mike and Susan.

These cakes are to die for, really !
A lot of people received these as Christmas gifts one year.
The company does the packing and shipping
so very easy and less stressful.

Newfoundland Screech
So, the name says it all ~~ you'll be screeching after you sample / devour it.
Now it's in coffee ~~~ HELP !!

While they milled around the shop
Jim and I waited ever so patiently at this veiwpoint
(another angle in 1st picture)
The gentleman photographer Jim discovered is from
Saskatoon, Saskatechewan
( google that one folks or click here )
He and his wife traveled to Ontario for an event
and then decided to keep driving east to
Nova Scotia.

Doesn't this picture say it all ~~~ HAPPINESS !!

Segways ( < click )
are bountiful, but Susan decided it wasn't her cuppa cuppa !

Mike and Ron are having a PHOTO - OFF
 LOL !!
Mike is a Canon Guy and Ron and Jim are Nikon Guys.
I heard them discussing and learning about each others toys.
Susan's Nikon Coolpix really took great pictures too
light weight, fast and above a perfect fall colour ~~
reddish maroon to match her new jacket of course !

One last look at this cruise ship.
Hmmm, maybe a cruise is in the future,
you never know.

and a  last quick photo for Jimbo
and then off to our next discovery.

Come On Back !!

THANKSGIVING WK PT 1

This has been the best THANKSGIVING celebration
for Ron and Jim in a very long time.
Firstly, I am at one of my favourite pools to swim and fetch Mr. O !

But the most IMPORTANT connection is Ron's with
his brother Mike
sister in law Susan
and
some  "stiff"  behind them.

I really think the SMILES tell it all
in so many different ways.

Cameras seem to be the mainstay
and hey why not !
We live in a beautiful province
and
it's autumn in Nova Scotia
so the colours and views are over the top beautiful.

 Everywhere we visited there was a joy long awaited.

Even on the rocks at Peggy's Cove
I was overjoyed
after swimming in my pond.

Mike took some time to discover this area
with the lighthouse
in the background.

The waves were very tame today,
but at least we all got a good workout on the rocks.

Our relationships are slightly similar
in that Mike and Susan were married 1973
and
Jim and Ron met in 1973.

I sure hope their 6 days on the east coast
were all and more
than they expected,
because it was for me !!

MORE TO COME !!!

AGE & EXPERIENCE

My Dad Ron is entertaining his brother Mike and sister in law Susan from Alberta for a week .
While Mike is officiating at the Canadian Soccer Championships nearby,
 I took Susan for a walk to Point Pleasant Park.

I met this young Husky who decided I needed some exercise.

We ran around and around

doing the 2-step

with a neck bite

or 2

Hey look !
Age and experience won out !

To put the icing on the cake
we met Mim Mim and Maggie
as we were heading for the car.
You know these are my favourite,
because,
well just,
 because !
