MY HAPPY PLACE

Yes this is my HAPPY PLACE!

Over there on the hill is MacDonald House

where my Daddy Jim works

2 days a week.

~

On this side of the river

is a beach 

which takes a while to reach by sand or through woods.

~

No matter!

After a couple years

of not visiting

we decided to trek our way to this spot.

~

Needless to say 

I was over the Doodle Moon!

~

I hopped

I ran

I ate seaweed

I ate anything I got my paws on.

~

NIRVANA  

does this to one.
I rest my case!!

WELCOME TO AUGUST MY FRIENDS!!!

Welcome!

August has slipped into my world.

 High on the hill the warm breezes play with the grasses and flowers ~

as I amble through them seeking out anything to sniff

also watching that I don't get in the way of these flying humans

high over head ~

across the waters on that spit of land a couple discover their own nirvana

realizing that a morning dew 

only makes the remainder of the day

that much more magical

So come along with yours truly

and

perhaps this will give you a bit of nirvana.

SHAKE ABOVE THE OCEAN

Welcome my dearies!

I lay high above the waters

staring down at the sights below ~~

just across from me is Conrad's Beach

with a few lucky people taking a walk ~~

over the edge of the slope 

you'll see a surfer finished for the day

climbing methodically and deliberately up the slope

but alas while they partake in their rituals

I partake in my DOODLE RITUALS

as I "shake above the ocean"

with my feet in the air!

A Mr. Orangie Wannabee

has invaded my hill!

I know you can see that GIANT Mr. Orangie just above my tail, right!?!

It's time to sniff this fake out!

Jumping Doodles, it has the same colours

and it has feet!

also a head ~~~

massive sniffing and checking out the credentials before ~

this Mr. Orangie Wannbee fake takes off 

into the wild blue yonder.

For a second there I thought aliens had invaded.

Has this ever happened to you?

TUCKER, MY NEW COUSIN!!

This view is why I enjoy spending a day at daycare.

Wouldn't you love to meander along this pasture 

heading down the hill to the beach below?!

If not, then just stand at the fence

inhale the fresh air and beauty

and 

imagine far off lands, beaches, mountains, oceans.

It's an instant feeling that I always get

when I visit for an afternoon ~

Plus I get a chance to run forever 

with all my new friends, Chloe 

 and 

the adults

Mary and Stephanie.

At the end of the visit 

Chloe says "arrivederci"as the guys return.

All of the sudden I hear about someone new in my extended family ~

"well my, my, my,"

 lookie here!

It's Brynn with her new addition

TUCKER.

I will surely meet him at the park soon.

(Word has it that he is the spitting image of my predecessor JESSIE

only he's a he!) 

BRIEF REPREIVE

High on the hill 

(my favourite spot in the whole Doodle World)

I search for the never-ending answer.

To what?

You may ask.

Well, solitude for one thing

a singular moment in time.

Peace for all of you and the world

yes the entire world.

The snows are beginning to paint out landscape.

You can see my cherry tree buoying the soft white flakes

so precariously yet firmly.

These singular flakes come together

making a strong union

of beauty and strength.

We are like the snowflakes ~~~

HEADLESS LADY ~ GET ME OUTTA HERE!!

See what I mean!
She is standing right there in the middle of the floor
WITHOUT HER HEAD!

You do believe me, dontcha !?!

I wonder if she moved
this melange of mugs and odds and ends around,
so no one could sit on this stool!

Did she sit on Ron's mother's favourite rocker

relieving the seat of it's cushion?

I've circled this area quite a few times
without any unusual lingering scent.

The carnival glass wasn't moved at all.

The kitchen dishes and quilts are still looking
as if they were undisturbed.

 I spoke to TEDDY on the chair
and
as you may have surmised
"NO ONE  'in these here parts' IN THE LAST 24 HOURS"
was mumbled as I passed by!
DOLLY
however wasn't quite so sure.
What does that mean!?!

I truly believe even if there is a
HEADLESS LADY
wandering the halls and rooms
I think she really likes the bright colours ~

 and comfy feel of all the quilts.
Who wouldn't!!

This new addition of brightly coloured drinking glasses with pitcher

I highly suspect is a real intrigue for her.

Anyway, take a look at my video and see if you see anything unusual!

Another eye on things might help me out!

So as I take care of things all around me,

Jim cashes out for the day 

at Mid-Century Maniac

in MacDonald House on the Hill ~

and soon

 so very soon 

we will be

jumping into our car

and

heading down the road.

passed us as if controlled by an inanimate being

These two ladies with their dog

had to turn back because the tide was so high

that their beach trail was gone.

Yes, high tides on the Atlantic Ocean can be cruel!!

High on the hill behind us

MacDonald House

is visible.

Daddy Jim is working inside in his vintage shop

a family plays on the beach

a paraglider swoops over MacDonald Hill

Such is my contented life,

my recouping swims
