Satisfaction...and then some...yes!

Clancey and I played so much that we were so exhausted by end of the weekend. The living room is our play area with much tugging, yipping and scampering. Hardwood floors are my fave. I like the 'city boy' but sometimes a girl has got to rest. After C left I curled up on the sofa and snoozed....

After my beauty rest...we headed to the surfer beach, just the 3 of us....with a storm a brewing we quickly trudged along chasing the ball and playing follow the leader.

Sometimes the weather is perfect but this time the clouds were moving in on...

either side of the narrow land division keeping the ocean out of the lake area...

This is one of the view's of the main beach area and fog is rolling over in the distance...

This beach is very changeable...sand one day, rocks another and of course, the tides being low/high depending upon the moon and cycles. I love it 'cause there is so much to explore...mmm I love munching on seaweed...humans pay for sushi while I get it for FREE!

Overnight pajama party tonight....!!

My boyfriend is actually staying overnight in my house tonight...How did I get so lucky? Clancey is here now while his Mommy has gone to a seminar in another part of the province...Time to play I'd say.....

We love to tear around as we did last weekend at the lake...

around and around...we got so dizzy!

We will be going to the beach of course...we...urban boys love the sands....see
a wee bit dirty but hey...life could be worse...

...Clancey continues with...no Mommy around and I'm taking full advantage...

...sometimes the fog rolls in and you can see...what fun we have chasing and hiding...

...other times I just explore and marvel at the scenery

...we play ball all the time anywhere

....we even have our own orange balls...of course they're special because they float and make great squishy sounds...

...running for ever with 'crazy haired' dog

...when I'm pooped I always end up on a lap...I like white, see how clean we look...

I'm going to sleep now...as I said 'urban' boys get tired around the rural girls...nightey night!

SOOO.....HOTTT!!

Yesterday proved to be the hottest day so far this year 30 degrees C....My body couldn't take it. Since the boys were busy cleaning out the shed (why you say?) the only relief I found was below....

hiding under the Japanese Maple...I figured this was as good a place as any. The pool wasn't doing it anymore...I was hosed down a couple times yet...

only Mother Nature seemed to afford the relief I needed. Besides I thought I looked pretty good under the lacey leaves of the Waterfall Maple.

This is my refuge spot from now on....boy am I learning fast...only took 3 years.

PS....yesterday's blog answer to the 'hair raising' photo is Sophie's blond(really) blond nose hairs...check it out!

...to the beach with Meghan

OK who's that over there...of course it's Daddy Jim (DJ for short) and Meghan who visited today....

This is when I run like old heck to get to the water before anyone else...heaven!

This view is perfect...

Around the bend we return to the first beach to see if the Dept of Natural Resources fellow has arrived because anyone caught allowing their dog run free this time of year will get a ticket $100 + due to the Piping Plover nests which are getting fewer and fewer every year. We check it out and proceed with me on leash just in case the guy arrives.

We make to the end of the beach and Meghan complies as do all humans when I bat my lashes and say `come on` throw the ball.

Into the water, running as if I`m on the water...love that feeling oddly...

With much satisfaction we sauntered back to the car. I walk between always...it makes me feel good.

Enjoy your weekend....we are going to a lake tomorrow to see my boyfriend Clancey, a Bizon Frisee....he`ll be beyond himself...I still have it....!!!

Personal Stuff......

Here's a questionnaire I found on AJ-Oaks' blog. Don't usually do these things but since she asked, here goes:

1. What would your perfect day consist of?
Waking up with sunshine pouring through the windows and being served breakfast  in bed. Then, with a slight breeze blowing, working in the garden. After lunch, a walk along the river. In the evening watching the sunset from MacDonald Hill.

2. How would you describe yourself if you were an item of clothing?
A loose fitting shirt and a pair of jeans.

3. What hobbies are you currently working on?
    Gardening, knitting and 40's / 50's collectibles.

4. Walking in the woods with wellies or barefoot on the beach?
    Barefoot on the beach.

5. Have you ever hugged or sang to a tree?
Hugged for sure! Love trees. Never sang but certainly have talked to a few.

6. Growing your own veggies or nipping to the supermarket?
A little bit of both actually....but more so to the supermarket.

7. Have you found anyone exciting in your family tree?
Yes, a number of people. But most so my great-great grandfather. After enlisting
in the US army (having just arrived from France) and fighting in the US-Mexican war around 1850 or so, he deserted! and quickly moved to Nova Scotia.

8. Slap up meal in a posh restaurant or fish 'n' chips from a wrapper?
No brainer! A slap up meal in a posh restaurant any day.

9. Which element do you most resonate with : Earth, Air, Fire or Water?
Water. I feel very comfortable in water.

10. Do you believe in fairies?
No. But there is something about people who can 'sense' other dimensions.

All the above pics were taken at Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia in November of last year.

In awe of Paragliders.......

Heading down to the beach yesterday, so sunny, bright, breezy and 21degrees C, we came upon this sight....I stopped there and stared with a couple woofs emitted. I know the guys were just as amazed as I was...taking lots of pictures and I hope you enjoy them.

OK.....enough...it's time to dig that hole again....there truly are more important things in life.....

My 1st days on the beach....mmmm!

No doubt about it...I have hit the motherlode with beaches and everyday I go I appreciate them even more.

As a tyke I first came upon the open sands of Conrad`s Beach and learned to follow closely...

grab Daddie`s pant leg...why...because it`s there..

find out that I can dig holes anywhere without the evil eye...

and the best of all....touch water...WATER....my DNA tingles when I`m near it...!

Any kind of water by the way....as long as I can lay out fully....aahhh!
