SWIM MR. O & SERENITY

Do you see Mr. O hanging in the air?

This little piece of serenity
is always a stop place for us when we head down the Eastern Shore.

Just beside us is this bridge with Oyster Pond (a lake) on one side
and a very small inlet pond which becomes filled with
salt water on this side.
At present the tide has changed and is beginning to go out.

and lookee her
another bridge exactly behind me
This pond is affected by the local tides
much more than Oyster Pond.

I am just plain happy and content
to be able to keep Mr. O
in focus, retrieve and come back to the landing.

♫♪♫•*¨*•.¸¸ SOPHIE MAMBO TIME ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♫♪

Summertime and the lovin' is easy-goin'

zenning out at the beach

as I slip through the sparkles

I turn my head

zooming swiftly to the shore

charging and dripping onto the land

with my ears held high

life is like this moment now

then sometimes the rhythm of another beat

takes over my mind

BUZZING & SWIMMING

Swimming this morning in the North West Arm
without a Doodle care in the world ~

A two-step was in full swing inside this luscious pink rose

a solo engorgment of pollen by this bee as we stared down inside

so still
so beautiful
so Lady Bug

almost translucent hiding in amongst the stamens

the white roses are a fresh pink before opening up to us

blackberry blooms so crinkly

I continue to swim
rescuing Mr. Orangie from a fate worse than death.

As I return to the top of the hill
I hear the buzzing of yet another bee
totally lost in all these blossoms ~

while Jim snoozes on the bench soaking up the beautiful summer warmth
and I take a reprieve from fetching and chewing Mr. Orangie
within an inch of his orange life.
I do love our summers especially getting lost in the park,
meeting friends,
swimming
listening to the bees
and
devouring a green salad
anytime I want.
I Love My Summers!

PAYING RESPECTS ~ WALK ~ SWIM & MORE ~~~~~~~

I heard Ron saying one day:
that leaving the Valley as many people have done over the years
to find fame and fortune or whatever makes them feel whole inside
always triggers the need to return
He is able to easily because
he only lives an hour away.
This view means
"I am back home!"
I always hear him say.

Ron's GF, GM and mother, Tommy are laid to rest in Willowbank Cemetery.
We always drop in to feel the calmness, serenity and to pay our respects
to these people
(even if I never met them).
I know their lives intertwined with so many others laid to rest here.
Ron always seems so focused and at peace
when he wanders around the grave stone
and looking for other relatives
that he knew over the years.
Take all the time you need Ron.

My 1st visit to the canal this year was a welcomed sight
since I sprained my paw recently and we all know swimming is better for rehabilitation than anything else.

 Short swims fetching Mr. Orangie
is all I need to strengthen my paw ~
and
from what I can see it is working.

Heading back to the car
wet
energy reduced
at ease
and
at peace
I saw ~~

dandelions covered in bees
new sprouts on shrubs along the water's edge
last year's rosehips ( I eat these you now)
and a wee nest that had survived our winter

Spring has swathed it's gentle warmth across our lives
and before you know it these trees will be all in leaf
and the colours will change again.

Come back again to see the cutest ever
wee little black lamb we visited down the road from here.........

See you soon!

XMAS DAY BEACH WALK

Seriously!
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day weather-wise.
It felt like spring had arrived and winter was just a sweet memory.
I even went in for a swim.

Mr. Orangie was in rare form,
so I figured that he needed reigning in / taming down
so I was super focused in rescue mode!

Daddy Jim was sporting his new down Arcteryx hoodie jacket
which he says will definitely take care of the Jan/Feb/Mar cold wind and snows.
After last winter's onslaught (the worst in recent memory)
I heard him mumbling "....just bring it on Old Man Winter, now just bring it on!!"

I ran into mucho furry friends like these 2 Leonbergers and a mini-poodle.
Oh yes, super friendly for sure.

 Lookee here!
Our tails match, not planned in the least.

Very short video (less than one minute) will show you how great a day we had.

Even this Queen of Hearts was holding court high on the rocks!

Come back again soon,
since the New Year 2016
is looming on the horizon!

CHEERS!!

SWIMMING HELPS MENDING

Hi Ho Everyone!
I am coming out of the river
taking a morning swim
which is supposed to strengthen and help my leg.
I am 8 1/2 years young now,
so something was bound to de-rail me
since I love to run and hop so much.
I am presently waiting for an order of
DASUQUIN
to arrive on my Doodle doorstep
to help with my bones etc.
It has been ordered on Amazon
with an arrival due date of August 18th
at the earliest.

In the meantime,
I SWIM and SWIM
which is my favourite pass time anyway.

Check out my video below
and
you'll see how well I am doing
and
maybe you'll enjoy a peaceful moment
from my world to yours.

See what I mean!

NAMASTE!!!

TAILGATING PAW-TY TIME!

I'm always looking for a good time,
just ask my guys!
Where ever we visit I make a point of inclusion ~~
(all you teachers know what inclusion' refers to)

I use my beacon tail to signal that I'm here ~~

the thickness / colour / curvature

send out to everyone around that
I am in charge
so if you can handle it
come on along ~~

I am dreaming now.
Dreaming of my romp the other day with 2 Doodles.
Check us out below!

Do you see our connection!?!
3 tails standing tall
3 different colours
3 different Doodles
~
We had a blast
swimming
and
literally Tailgating each other.
(OK, hand over Mr. Orangie,you!)

THIS IS MY WATER WORLD

With spring fully entrenched
and
 the ice-packed winter roads gone
"fully disappearing in the rear view mirror.....thank you so very much",
we decided to go swimming at the lake.

I love water!
 When you are a DOODLE
both sides of your lineage are water-logged
so  I've been known to flop into a puddle or a swamp.
Yes, the guys do keep an eye on me.
Lighten up, Guys!

I was out sniffing some flowers this morning in the garden
and there they were
"the water droplets on the cowslips"
I have a keen eye when there is any form of water nearby.

 "Tidal Meanderings"
perfectly describes the beach this evening
as we captured the last rays of light
along this stretch of land.
Any time you want to take a special moment
and be delighted in a world
of creativity,
travel,
foods,
beautiful photography
and
the sheer joy of life
then skip over to Vicki's blog
2 Bags Full < click here
and I promise
you will only be amazed
at the beauty that she has to offer this world.
Now go on, click that link and visit her!

The soft spring rains smothered 'the sanguinaria ~ blood root' in droplets as well.
(Normally the bloodroot is white
but creative licence played upon my soul
so it is now pink.)

Neapolitan ice cream cone
that's what it looks like to me.

The sanquinaria petals spread their wings
as the sun broke through the layers of clouds
evaporating the last of the rain droplets.

I'll be dreaming tonight, no doubt water will be featured.
So looking forward to tomorrow
so I can practice my dog paddle and fetch Mr. Orangie.
