JUST WHISPER IN MY EAR

I am enjoying this week because Hurricane Gonzalo is on it's way!
You say, wha'?
You see the warm southern temperatures are dragged
unwillingly to the north
which means we feel like it's summer again.
Jim told me this and I do believe him.
He does not lie.

See how serious he is explaining the whole phenomenon.
I listen with bated DOODLE BREATH!

It's coming from that direction
where the glorious sunset lives.

The calmness of these waters will last for only a few hours
because things change on a dime around here.

Even MacDonald House
is reflecting the expected warm weather.
(No that's not snow but one's imagination could go that far)

So we are ready for this unsettling weather
as you can see the sunset reflecting
in my new/old Matrix car
the guys bought this week.
Psst: I have a new back seat to wave at all my followers now.

JUST SIMPLE CONTENTMENT

Once over the rocks we headed for the river,

flanked by MacDonald House
looking very much like Wuthering Heights.
We stopped to dig holes
because Stony Beach is made for "HOLE DIGGIN' " !

Running full speed ahead with an eye on the edge

because the tide is gouging away the sides
of the river as it always does when it is going out.

Here is Jim helping nature eat away at the edge.

While he does that I swim and I fetch.
Far off in the distance in that small beach pool,
everything is viewed under the watchful eye of a heron.

There s/he goes silently over the waters
heading for the salt marsh on the other side of the hill.

Contentment really is all I seek out
and contentment is what I always find.

The sun sets much earlier as we step into fall,
so it's time to retire
and
talk over the day's events
as we head home
just down the road.

STRONG WINDS

Strong south west winds have been pummeling the province all day
which means the para-surfers are in heaven.

Far below MacDonald House,

as these two onlookers had been veiwing

you'll find Jim clicking like crazy

for the latte sea
caused by
the super fine salt sea mist,
relentless winds
and
pending sunset

keep my ears and toes alert
ready for a fast dash to the car

(this will give you an idea ~ apologies for the wind sound)

Such is my life after a rain and wind storm
which dropped a month's worth of rain ~
almost like a hit and run!
Like in "Straight Up"
sung by Paula Abdul.

couldn't resist this connection folks!!!

CRISTOBAL ~~ THANK YOU

Hurricane Cristobal flew by us yesterday, still hanging in today,
and I just want to thank Mother Nature so very much.

Lawrencetown Beach is loaded with surfers from all over the country.
Surfers are a special breed you know.
They will drive, fly and surf miles to find the perfect wave.

Even high on MacDonald Hill
as I zone in on my Doodle GPS
the surfers are down below
living their dream.

Not much different than this gull, really!

Gliding on the currents
being mindful
and
 one with nature.

Can't you just feel the energy developing here?
I know I can as I sit and watch
these people.

 Mmmm mmmm !!
Hold on tight!
Take her all the way!

Or just waltz on the wave,
whatever it takes!

OK, where is Jim?
He's going to miss everything!
We'll keep waiting for him, Ron.
I could sit up here all day
and
all night for that matter.
The guys keep asking me if I want too
pitch a tent that is.
Now what is that all about?

Hill of hills!

This hill allows me to be myself to the nth degree....
running, snooping, rolling over and just sniffing the air.
What do you think of my place?

Up the grassy slope passed MacDonald House Museum and Tea Room, we settle for a relaxing moment on the edge of the uppermost part of the trail.

This is when something takes over me and I just become possessed....

and when I get the itching and scratching frenzy over with, I relax and take in the view. This is my natural high moment in more ways than one ...

so relaxed now....

down below, all you see are these people floating and gliding along the water.

Inner peace can be found in so many ways.

Auntie Elaine & friends drop in.....

Auntie Elaine and friends drop in from Edmonton,Alberta. Elaine has lived in Nova Scotia previously but the guys, one has never been here and the other moved here two years ago. So it is my pleasure to show them the beach(es) and teach Auntie Elaine how to throw my ball.....

It's all in the 'flick' of the wrist, any good ball player would tell you that.....Auntie Elaine is one of the best teachers I've run into in my three years...honest!

I had the great pleasure of running into 4 doggies today.....a Dobermann, 2 small poodley mix types and Jake the black and white bulldog. Now they all loved to run and shove but I gave it back to them.
They loved the water naturally.

The last 4 legged creature I spied was a horse galloping along the beach, actually I was entranced at the grace and speed.....mmmm!

We finally got home and the guys sacked out....

I heard.....'I don't know what's wrong with me but I so tired"

Daddy Ron said "It's the fresh salt air and the walk, you don't even realize how great it is for you, that's why we do it every day"

All I heard was the slight sound of snoring while Daddy Jim whipped up a humongous seafood chowder. Oh Maritimers and their seafood chowder, I soo love living here.

Early morning jaunt!

Hi Everyone....we got up at 6:30am and stumbled down to the beach...it truly was a  beautiful, bright, and warmish breeze filled am. with only a couple people in sight. We took the grassy trail and headed for the further beach because it is dog friendly. With it being that early, it didn't really matter. I can't tell you how refreshing and rejuvenating this walk always is. The positive ions are everywhere and it just makes you feel like a new dog.

Daddy Ron had this Jesus thing come over him for a second...check out the sand....ooo!

As you can see the shadows were intensely long and because we are not used to seeing them from this angle we snapped a lot of pics.

Daddy Jim kept me active with the Chuckit ball...I love this thing...the ball has to be the rubber version and NOT the tennis ball fuzzy one. The rubber ball makes the best  sounds of squeaking and squishing...I even puncture them so I can fill the ball with saliva....yummmy!

While MY Daddies spooned I took off and....look what I found...

They were just there on the sand...abso'toot'ly beautiful, if I say so myself.

I ran back to hurry up the guys...gees....and we headed back home for breaky!!!!

I stole one last gaze at the beach and water... realizing the wind had picked up and whitecaps were forming...the surfers would out in full force today.

As we neared the car parking area we had to walk over a small bridge and I looked to my right and saw this bird soaring over the water....

Please enjoy your day as much as I am...!!!!!!!!!!!
