MONUMENTAL HURDLE PT. 1

Do you see
this grade of land?
this hill?
this mountain?
Oh I could go on!
Oh you want me too!
OK then ~~~ •*¨*•♫♪

Do you see Sophie and Jim captivated by scents
for HRH
and by the surrounding view
for Jim?

I digress ~~ this is Jim's view,
a completely frozen bog area
so frozen that it may not thaw until summer.
Seriously, you never know!?!

and Sophie has reached the base of the hill
and MAGNET-NOSE has discovered this ~~

the complete likeness of  an ELEPHANT'S NOGGIN
so much looking and feeling like a pre-historic mastodon.
But alas no scent,
move on!

So up the hill she continues ~~

looking over her shoulder to see the frozen bog
and checking out Lawrencetown Beach
for any chance to maybe go for a swim.
Not yet honey!

Still building on the point of all this story ~~
is Jim following the ice covered path
with a frozen Porter's Lake gleaming in the background.

Time to take a picture of this he decides ~~

 because even if it's winter
and freezing cold
and slippery slidey
and so very blue
rarely do we see such beauty
unless of course you climb up this hill
and
well, just soak it in!

The beach below doesn't appear friendly yet.
The sand has not returned to cover the rocks
and the green grasses and flowers have not covered the landscape.

Yet none of this means anything because
well just look at the SMILE on Jim's face.
Something's up!
Something's important!
Something's Monumental!

MY SUNSET ~~ YOUR SUNSET

Little did I know that after discovering this large stump on the beach ~~~

with the sweet ocean scents permeating every nook and cranny

would I be so fortunate enough to see this view on the way back to my car.

The rays of the setting sun outline my chocolate brown Doodle fur

coaxing me back to the warmth of the back seat of the vehicle

See!
There's my car with Jim waiting patiently
because March is mighty cold this year
and only Ron would walk with me.

Life from the back seat of my car
always warms my heart!!!

'OFF WITH HER HEAD'

Last week in the middle of
MIGRAINE CITY,
Ron took me to Conrad's Beach
to run and just take the edge off.

The clouds were phenomenal
and
as Daddy Ron thinks
was the cause
of Daddy Jim's visual auras.

We found this remnant from an old wharf
which keeps reappearing seasonally
depending upon the wave action.

We really like this spot to sit and think
to ponder life
and
to refresh, rejuvenate and reDOODLE ourselves.

A short video to show you what I do when the clouds descend upon us on the beach.

Over there,
away over there
is my parked car
which will take me home to Jim.

The clouds definitely were breath-taking and somewhat magical,
but if Mother Nature continues
tossing these our way
I'm telling her right now
OFF WITH HER HEAD

Until the Cows Come Home!

As we ventured further along the beach to the river
we discovered the remains of an old wharf
at least that's what we thought it was.

The river is right there in front me Dad
can I go now?
huh?
can I?

OK, Mr. Orangie I have you in my sights!

At last, fulfillment and happiness
the 2 go hand in hand right?

A quick hole dig to bury Mr. O
only seems appropriate.

Back in for a swim as the river wends lazily down to the ocean.

Jim pulls up a stump from the driftwood pile
and plunks himself down
while I continue my hole to 'somewhere important'.

Always a lesson thrown in for good measure.

This is what I really wanted to show you !

Peeps paddle boarding at the end of the river
where the river and ocean waters meet.

They have a lot of chutzpah to paddle away out there
because the dangerous undertows and rip currents
have a reputation
with unpleasant results.

So with this knowledge firmly in place
I'll stay here in my little cove inlet and fetch Mr O
until the cows come home
or
until when we go home.

Later Gators!
