..... skipping stones!

OK...I know I'm energetic and insistent but Elaine has something in her hand. What's with the open stretched arms? She's planning on something cool I know. First, Clancey has to scratch and then paddle around the edge......

Once he feels used to the water he joins in on the intrigue....

Elaine continues with her surprise and just watch!

I was consumed with the peacefulness of watching the circles getting larger and larger.....

Today's the perfect July 2nd day, with temperatures in the teens and twenties. The beach is beckoning and our visitor Clancey wants us desperately to go for a stroll...We will oblige him, the little cutie is back....actually sometimes I think he's a live, walking teddy bear...

Back from NYC.....:-)

Clancey's Mom is back from New York City...first time there and enjoyed the Big Apple.....

Now no more Clancey!...no sniffin' arses or checking out pups....what'll I do?

Daddy Ron says ...everything will be OK...come on into the garden and help me weed...and we'll play chase and tuggy too!

Clancey will be back again soon to sleep on your sofa....you just wait and see!

'Long' way to the Chickenburger!

Off to the South Shore of  Nova Scotia yesterday on a day trip hunting for sea glass and sand beaches...we went to our recent favourite beach to snag some 'finds' but couldn't because families had descended onto the beach and we knew 'us' 4 legged creatures would want to join everyone of them...that would have been very interesting...sand and water on all. So we headed down the road to Bayswater and even though the sign said "All Animals Must Be On Leash' we found a secluded area away from the nearest human and had a 'ball' litterly lol...

running, chasing, splashing and rolling...comes wit the territory.....

When we had enough, or at least the humans had enough....into the car and around the peninsula to a very picturesque part of the trip...

As our stomachs rule our minds,we figured we should head back to urban life because hunger was setting in....so off we sped....

Finally we reached the all important watering hole 'The Chickenburger Restaurant' which if you saw the movie
~~ Love and Death on Long Island ~~
well you saw the restaurant. Jason Priestley and John Hurt were in town and I can't believe it was 14 years ago, 1996.

I told DR to snap a creative shot(or whatever) as we waited for the food to arrive...

Do you see me peeping through the seat belt above Clancey's head...mighty creative,eh!

Clancey's here again!

Hi All,

I changed 'up' my blog page layout...what fun...so much to choose from....I'm always open to trying new and different color schemes.

So....Clancey arrived today for a longer visit....Momma Liz went to NYC for a few days...she'll have a blast of a time, I just know but in the meantime Clancey and I are going to live it up.....as the saying goes...when the cats away the mice shall play.

We arrived at the beach to find the sand all washed out into the waves. We proceeded walking along the rock strewn coast.

Part way down we discovered a cranberry bog which beckoned....come in...so we listened and jumped in....

So this is what you do Clancey...come on...now...

After shaking and rubbing the sand all over us, we headed to the boardwalk and the car...

The drive home didn't take long but guess what....? we slept....mmmm!

Satisfaction...and then some...yes!

Clancey and I played so much that we were so exhausted by end of the weekend. The living room is our play area with much tugging, yipping and scampering. Hardwood floors are my fave. I like the 'city boy' but sometimes a girl has got to rest. After C left I curled up on the sofa and snoozed....

After my beauty rest...we headed to the surfer beach, just the 3 of us....with a storm a brewing we quickly trudged along chasing the ball and playing follow the leader.

Sometimes the weather is perfect but this time the clouds were moving in on...

either side of the narrow land division keeping the ocean out of the lake area...

This is one of the view's of the main beach area and fog is rolling over in the distance...

This beach is very changeable...sand one day, rocks another and of course, the tides being low/high depending upon the moon and cycles. I love it 'cause there is so much to explore...mmm I love munching on seaweed...humans pay for sushi while I get it for FREE!

Overnight pajama party tonight....!!

My boyfriend is actually staying overnight in my house tonight...How did I get so lucky? Clancey is here now while his Mommy has gone to a seminar in another part of the province...Time to play I'd say.....

We love to tear around as we did last weekend at the lake...

around and around...we got so dizzy!

We will be going to the beach of course...we...urban boys love the sands....see
a wee bit dirty but hey...life could be worse...

...Clancey continues with...no Mommy around and I'm taking full advantage...

...sometimes the fog rolls in and you can see...what fun we have chasing and hiding...

...other times I just explore and marvel at the scenery

...we play ball all the time anywhere

....we even have our own orange balls...of course they're special because they float and make great squishy sounds...

...running for ever with 'crazy haired' dog

...when I'm pooped I always end up on a lap...I like white, see how clean we look...

I'm going to sleep now...as I said 'urban' boys get tired around the rural girls...nightey night!
