FOOLED YA!!!

Pay attention!
Look into my eyes
even though they are in B&W.
Life is good no matter which reality you prefer
but I do believe that a wee titch of colour
always makes the senses tingle
"spidey tingle"
if you may ~~

see what I mean!
A swath of colour so profound
that one misses
the obvious
the possible landing of aliens
in our city ~~

Jim wants out of here!
I guess I am driving him crazy.
Comes with the territory, my dear.
~~
such  a good sport he is!

TWITCHY KITTY, KITTY !!

I heard a MEOW,
over there ~~
Did you?

~ under the dripping ornamental crabapple ~

I'll just slowly slip quietly along the deck.

 Guess what?
I was whisked away
over the bridge to Halifax
to the park.
Listen!
Did you hear that?

 THAT must be what I heard !
~ a quiet, solitary kitty
lounging on the back of a comfy chair
checking out everyone
that meanders by ~

This kitty looks zonked or something!

But I assure you,
my house is 30 kms away
and
I know for a fact
that this kitty was using ESP
to let me know that
s/he wanted me to know that ~

this little American Goldfinch was making s/he real twitchy!
Real Twitchy!!

'DOODLE'FOGVORTEX

Just minding my own DOODLEBUSINESS as usual
in Point Pleasant Park
bouncing Mr. Orangie in the fall leaves ~

sometimes Mr. Orangie tricks me
and
Where's Waldo aka Mr. Orangie
 becomes the game of the day.

The thing is I didn't even notice
ALL THE FOG.
All the brightly coloured joggers
were fading into the distance
as they sped by us ~

I tried to warn this
PINKLADY
not to go down there
but she paid no attention to me.
What do I know anyway!?!

All these park friends
kept close by each other
for protection
I am sure!
Dogs do know better, you know!

We slipped passed this ol' haunted stump
which from the feeling it gave me
I should keep the guys close
and
start heading back to the car.

I think that this
YELLOWJACKETLADY
and her tiny munchkin
had the very same idea ~
FOG = THE UNKNOWN

Just ahead of us this
BRIGHTBLUEJOGGER
was heading for the two lights
coming down the road

Then it started
everything began to swirl
spinning round and round
so fast
so quickly

We were caught up in the frenzy!
For a few moments I thought I'd see
Alice from Alice in Wonderland ~

and before we knew it
it was all over
all calm
all serene
all better

It was a very strange walk indeed
and
I for one
am so very happy
to see the car just down in the parking lot.
~
What was that anyway?
Any ideas?

IS IT NORMAL TO BE PASSED BY PIGEONS?

The other day Ron and I decided to walk around
the Halifax Public gardens
while Jim attended to a medical appointment nearby.
The sidewalks were littered
with thousands upon thousands
of leaves and ~

the best chalk graffiti
by someone declaring
their LOVE for Emily FOREVER.

Inside the gardens were sprinkled with
golden leaves
and
with plenty of empty benches
for anyone to take advantage of.

Around the 3rd corner heading down Sackville Street
I zeroed in on a delightful fragrance.
~ DOODLES having DOODLE TIME
without a care in the world ~
Could that be my mantra for the day?

I discovered this choice gate door
which was locked
but I was more interested in the scent
attached to the bottom.
Ahhh ~ HEAVEN !

We managed to circumnavigate the perimeter
 and return to the car.
As we sat quietly
4 people scooted by on segways
I could hear one of them ask ~

"Is it normal to be passed by pigeons?"
~~~
(turn up your volume and just listen as the 4th person scoots by)
Such is my life,
but I can tell you
I would never let pigeons
 (spelled without a "D" for Pete's sake Ron )
pass me,
EVER!!
THE DUCKS ARE ON THE POND
Near the end of my park walk today
Ron decided that he was going to
the Public Gardens to capture
 a few pictures of the ducks on the pond.
Nothing at this end
other than some very interesting moving reflections
which he told me was caused by
some ducks
just to the right.
Yes, the ducks were very much at home
cruising around
looking for food and companionship,
if you know what I mean.
 Three males and one busy female
^music break^
Life is very tranquil most of the time
but occasionally excitement ensues
and off the ducks paddle.
This tranquil moment is for you
(but be assured, yesterday's video of ducks frantically
swimming after the lady was really good,
but Ron deleted the video by mistake)
Outside one of the gates
after visiting the gardens
we saw a lone bicycle,
I'm sure s/he had a very serene visit,
lucky duck!!
WATERFALL
This waterfall is in my backyard.
This is an Acer Palmatum "Waterfall" variety
I am very fond of this lacey leafed Japanese Maple because
I cool off under it in the hot humid summers
and
enjoy a respite after running around the yard
during the other seasons.
This is my favourite shrub mostly because it's my size
and will always be my size!!
DEEP THOUGHTS BY SOPHIE DOODLE
Out in the garden this morning
standing guard
surveying the property
making sure everything is copacetic
The Moon Maple reaches ever so gently to the heavens
as a few rays of sunlight kiss the leaf.
I'd say all's well in DOODLEVILLE !!
More sunlight caressing the PaperBark maple
illuminating the curling sheaths of bark
along the side of the trunk
The seedlings of the Burning Bush
are ready to pop
and fall to the ground to re-emerge next season.
Life is an never-ending process
with constant change
Oh man all this heavy thinking
 is making me so tired.
~~~
Time for a power snooze.

RED RAW

Life in our world
 is
in Red Raw
 every colour of the warm side of the rainbow
is surrounding us
in this case on
the Raw setting of the camera.

Practice, sampling, fine tuning and 'nope that doesn't work' and 'that's just fine' !

I am still sniffing my way along the trails
along the blazing colourful paths
that will soon be quietened
to a darker hue
and
a soften whiter presence
in a few weeks time.

So soaking up nature this time of year
is always more than a treat
it's a sensual feast of the colour spectrum.

The last few trees splatter the yellows
so familiar in other parts of the country
and continent
as Jim nears the car.

Hey, Jim!
Wait up !
Don't go too quickly.
I love this place
just smell those pine needles.
