LION or LAMB!

What will the weather be for the first day of the March?
 We wait patiently on the last day of 'every' February wondering....
~~~~
Is March coming in like a lion or
Is March coming in like a lamb?
~~~~
Well, the waters around our fair province can easily tell you!

She came in like a LION this year!~~~~~<ROAR!

So that means March will be going out like a LAMB....yes!

I can wait for the Lamb to arrive...!
It only means that, now, the weather is going to get warmer and much more pleasant
which only means
the gardens will begin to grow,
the days are getting longer(already),
and
my walks on the beaches and trails
will be filled with the smells of the new grasses
and
above all
I can go swimming again!

  2. It's bitchin' cold here and even though there's no blizzard, that extreme cold counts as coming in like a lion!

  3. Here in SW Colorado the month has started off like a lamb. I suppose that means that it will bring on the wind with a vengeance later this Spring! In the meantime we will enjoy our blue sky and sunshine!! Happy Trails Sophie!

  5. Ha! I was going to comment and say that at last you'd get to go swimming, Sophie... but you beat me to it. I KNEW you had swimming on your mind. Hey> good luck with the contest. I've been voting every day and I so hope you WIN!

    Gracie has a message for you... and I quote... "Max- And he's all mine". I'm not sure what she meant by that but I did hear her mutter something about a fire hydrant and your interest in it. *shrugs shoulders*

  6. Well, Sophie, I believe it came in like a lamb here, we had a lion here yesterday and the day before though - does that count? It's very peaceful, although chilly, here.

    Have a fun filled day, Girl!

  9. Lucky Sophie! We're having a Lamb day, beautiful and calm, if a little cold. So, I'm hoping that the old saying doesn't hold true this year, because I'm more than ready for Spring.

  14. hi Sophie! gorgeous Nova Scotia pictures! We are anxious for spring too! Coywolves are a new hybrid and they actually killed a girl in Cape Breton last year. They are huge and they are thriving in NS. They are quite bold and seem to NOT be afraid of humans. Just last week a farmer was attacked by one in the valley. There have been about 6 incidents and close encounters just in the last few months. They took 2 of our calves and killed the neighbors dog--so you will be hearing more of these coywolves....

  18. We share your sentiments exactly! I am so glad that we made it to March. It felt like it would never get here! I think I'd enjoy those roaring waves a lot more than the weather around here!

    We are still getting the hang of Wordpress, but we like it so far. Loading pictures has been a little challenging, but now that we've gotten used to that, we are pretty satisfied. We might have tried switching our old blog to its own domain, but it wasn't possible to do with Blogger.

  21. I love your photos! I'm not good at reading the sea... at first, I thought that it looked kind of calm but then the later photos looked rougher.

    Swimming!!!! Woo hoo!!!!

    March definitely came in like a lamb here, which makes sense because we usually get blizzards later in March :(

  25. We had a beautiful, if not a tad cold March 1st, but the end of February was definitely lion-like! In fact, we'll be getting a new roof thanks to a late February storm.
    And BTW, Sophie, I'm so envious of your beautiful beach!

  26. Wow! Some photos!!!

    I'd say March came in like a Lion around these parts too. No roiling ocean views. But snow cover. And that says "Lion" to me. I am so sick of snow cover. -pout-

    Courage, Sophie! Nice weather will come. Can't wait to see the warm weather with you, up in your lovely neck of the woods.
