Waiting Patiently for Jim

Hi Folks!
This is me standing patiently
by the side window
facing the veterinarian's building.

Every Friday night
my Daddy Jim
goes to his father's house
to stay over night
since Pop's is 95 years old.

Everyone in the family
thinks that it's a good idea
for someone to stay with
Pops throughout the night
to keep him company.

So when Saturday morning arrives
I always wait by this window
to make sure my Daddy
gets home safely.

  5. Aww Sophie, I loved seeing you waiting for your Daddy Jim... You look adorable! You even look a little worried though... was he late? Next time maybe Ron can get a video of when he comes in and you go crazy welcoming him back ;-)

    1. Hey Vanilla Bean...that is a huge jug that was painted by Ron's Mom back in the '90's before she passed. We has this with us to remind us of how lovely and sweet she was. My Dads miss her dearly and I knows I'd have loved her to bits! She was very creative and she always had sometime on the go.

  16. Oh Sophie!...I do that too when my family are seperated, I much prefer to round everyone up and keep them all together. Mum says it is wonderful that there is always somebody with Daddy Jim's father, that's caring but allowing the older generation to keep their independance.
