Faux Blizzard!

As you already know
we are actually having a winter this year!
Temperatures are low
Snow is falling
Warm layers are a must
Shivers are plenty
Winds are howling

My take on it is
BRING IT ON
because I have all those bases covered.

I have long fur this winter
long, silky and soft.

Real Blizzards and Faux Blizzards
may chase me back to the house,
but at least I know I can return
after my power snooze.
Do you take power snoozes?

  1. I agree, bring it on! Your long and warm fur is plenty for any blizzard!

    1. Guess what happened the blizzard turned to rain and wind and the temperatures are +16C (60F)...record setting January temperature! Now my fur will be muddy instead of snowy!

  2. Yep, I take power snoozes, some as short as half a commercial. Usually about half an hour. The short ones are the best! :D

I see you have a countdown for your birthday, how special is that - six is a special puppy birthday!!
I have power snoozes with Aston in the afternoon... Well a few at a time really, we like to link them up!!! (but never past 15.30 as that's time for meal number two!)

    1. Power snoozes have always been highly recommended in our world. Ron even has a P.S. after brekkie sometimes....(he just had on. His off and flying, well more clear headed at least!). After now P.S.'s are usually between 2 and 4 pm depending on weather/length of walk/need! All I know they love their POWER SNOOZES and I get to have one too!

Annie always takes power snoozes after her walks, they last all day then she's recharged ready for the next walk. Good life :-)

    1. Oh thanks you snookums for the kind words. This header picture was taken a few weeks ago during a real cold snap...brrrrrr it was nasty but the sun was shining. Sophie is sniffing but everything is frozen. Guess what she and I did after this? We had a power snooze!!!

  13. Hi Sophie!
Our weather is crazy right now - swinging back and forth between freezing and really warm!
And do we need moisture! The mountains look like they should look in late August or early September. So I'm begging for snow to build our snowpack that provides water for a number of states downstream on the Colorado River - not to mention all of our Front Range.
I'm like you, Sophie, I love snow, even if I no longer get snow days!
I'm not so good at power snoozes. I like a long nap, but I'm avoiding them so I can sleep better at night.
I hop you are enjoying a good walk this afternoon!

    1. I understand what you man about having snow for moisture later on....we have to have lots of rain in the fall to set the buds on many plants otherwise...no flowers the next year. We were near the Colorado River many many years when we were 'wagon training' our way to the west coast. There is a desert near Walla Walla and we followed the river along...so beautiful.
No problem with 'sans power snoozes' we can't all be sleeping in the pm...too many snorers me thinks!

    2. Wagon training? Does that mean you went on one of those wagon train trips that you can do in a real covered wagon? That is something I have always wanted to do! I, too, have been in Walla Walla which today is known for its merlots, but in its past for catastrophic geological events! Unbelievably humongous lava eruptions and floods. Even their name is the coolest: The Channeled Scablands! I like where you roll, Girl!

Jimbo used to get Grumpy until I taught him to make the the sessions short, less than 1/2 hour. He know thanks me and we end up having a better day/evening!

  18. Yes indeed! I love my power snoozes Sophie. :) Especially on Sunday afternoons. Nothing like a good second wind to get me going for more fun. I'm glad you're ready for the snow and cold. And all that exercise you get will keep you warm too, and in great shape. Sometimes i wish i had fur. Of course.. i don't shave my legs as often in the wintertime.. so there's that. lol.
