Our trip to Martinique Beach was a mind blowing experience!
The waves on this outcrop were hanging off the rocky edge.
I figured I needed to dunk myself very quickly
with the temperature at 17 degrees Celsius.
with the temperature at 17 degrees Celsius.
I noticed Jim was headed for the rocky outcrop.
So, I snagged Mr. Orangie and fell into line!
This is just a sample of why Martinique Beach was so spectacular today.
These waves look ominous but it's actually an optical illusion.
You'll see some mighty wave action again tomorrow.
Nice! Something about waves like that will leave me staring in awe for hours. And what a great action shot of Miss Sofie.
ReplyDeletespectacular is one word I'll also use to describe it...wow...okay, that's two!
ReplyDeleteMagnificent photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing, with this ocean-deprived blogger.
Now a request, please. [You know how "Olden Aunties" are... Never satisfied.] I'd love to HEAR the waves. Could you please take a wee cam video? Then I could hear them? Thank you!!!!!!!!!
Gentle hugs,
.♥.
Wow - what a wild and gorgeous windswept beach!
ReplyDeleteLove that pic of you in action, kicking up the sand... Delightful.
I'm glad that's an optical illusion because those waves look taller than Jim.
ReplyDeleteNice action shot of you and Mr. Orangie!
ReplyDeletePlease, can I come stay with you? Nova Scotia looks spectacular!!
ReplyDeleteHi Y'all,
ReplyDeleteMy Humans love the sound of the surf. Great pictures.

Ha! It looks real enough, to me! I was thinking Jim was going to get soaked and had better leave his bag where it will stay dry!
ReplyDeleteAhhh we could smell the salt air!

ReplyDeleteGreat action shots ! fantastic waves-can`t believe Sophie enjoys dunking herself in that cold water though ! brr !
ReplyDelete17 degrees is way too cold to get in water--even if it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
Wow, Sophie, those are some waves!
ReplyDeleteThat looks just great - but 17 degC?? that's would be a tad cold in the water.
ReplyDeleteAll fab photos, but particularly love the action one of Soph with Mr Orange.
I don't think I'll ever tire of looking at your beach photos!
ReplyDeleteWow! Every photo is spectacular. And, the action one of Sophie turning to grab her orange ball is just amazing!

i have been wondering for a long time sophie, if you have to get a bath after going to the beach... and if you get sand in daddy's car.. do your cute lil tootsies get muddy, girl? i bet you are a hot mess after your wonderful romps on the beach..
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous place! The shots you guys got of the waves and Sophie's mud slinging :) were incredible! Was there any tide pool life in that rock outcropping?
ReplyDeleteRoo
How was that swim, Sophie? Did the water feel warm and wonderful? You look like you enjoyed your time at the beach. And is Jim walking around with coffee? Too funny!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! I do love that action shot of you and Mr. Orangie.
