What's this White Stuff?

What's this white stuff all over my beach?

It's everywhere!

literally on the whole beach!

someone says the ocean waves make it....

if that's the case then as I look out at the churning waves...

and watch Jim pretend to go walking on water

I wonder how long the white stuff is going to stay with us?

  1. You have a different kind of white stuff than we do! What causes more sea foam than usual? Very rough seas out off-shore?

I love the first photo - it really captured my curousity.

  2. I don't think our white stuff is ever going away. LOVE Jim walking on water. It just proves there is nothing he can't do : )

  3. It looks like fluffy egg whites for a pie! I bet it doesn't taste like pie though....

  4. Beautiful pictures. Careful of that white stuff Sophie>>> :)

  5. Hi Sophie! How cool is that? Looks like you both are walking on water! It still looks mighty cold there! I can see the snow up on the hills. We still have some patches here.

  6. Are the clouds falling??!!!!

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

  7. ***Waving Paws in Air*** Hey There Sophie! Awesome photos! Absolutely LOVE, I mean Love the Header Photo!! Sensational. Plus, the fourth photo with the waves is totally wonderful. You are one very luck pup to live so close to such beauty!
    Have a super fun weekend.

P.S. What is that white stuff anyways? What causes it?

  8. Sea suds :) Probably good to roll in :D

    Beautiful photos as usual :)

    Waggin at ya,

  9. Looks scary. Kind of like detergent. -sigh-

    Hugs and ♥'s...

  10. Great photos, Sophie! We love the side view of you with the ball in your mouth-a classic!

  11. I don't know what it is, but, it's awfully pretty. Where's your snow?

  12. Louise...the snow doesn't last very long on the beach with the tide coming in twice a day...but don't you worry we got some snow.

Bocci...the side view with the directions...just trying to figure out where I am!

Aunt Amelia...looks kind of like detergent but pretty much dissolves when you walk through it

    Roo..and run through and kick!

    Jane...tks for the kind comments

    scotsmad....chicken little maybe could help!

Sharon...bloody friggin' cold...big yes..and yes some snow probably until March and that Jim is always trying to test the waters.

Bobbi...I will be very careful are very observant

    Melodie...nope very salty

KB...usually the surf action and I think the season...last year the sea foam was really thick on Lawrencetown beach in the winter!

  13. MAGNIFICIENT high waves and gorgeous Sophie ..!!

The foamy "stuff" looks a little strange....!!

oh, I missed a few post and will jump back and visit...: oh, what an extraordinary HEADER PIC, Ron.. Sophie looks just like a famous Model..!

    ciao ciao elvira

  14. Beautiful photos, as always. You sure get a feel of the cold in that last one.

  15. I've seen a lot of sea foam in Oregon too. Of course, Sage tried to eat it....

  16. When I was a kid, growing up fairly close to the sea, we were told it was whale... (well, let's just say that whales don't use tissues!)

If you want a less (more?) romantic definition, check out wikipedia:

Great pictures of it, and the picture of the curling wave with spray.

  17. at first I thought it was photos...

  18. Amazing photos Sophie! Made sure I found the famous orange ball...ah, yes! The churning and changing waters and beautiful. Enjoy!

    Sweet hugs,
    Sierra Rose

  19. The white stuff is amazing! It's like an explosion of really big bubbles! We love bubbles at our house!
