Waves for Auntie Elaine

Today is a big day for my Auntie Elaine
who lives on the other side of the country.

She is starting rounds of chemotherapy.

(Ron and I went to the beach today
and we made this video)

As I mentioned  HERE  I was very concerned for her
and told her that I loved her.

I hope these waves give you renewed energy

and help you over this hurdle thrown up in front of you.

Keep strong!

Peace!

  6. Dear Sophie and Ron, Your post and video will mean the world to Elaine. I am thinking of her and sending prayers, love, and hugs to her. When I was ill with the same thing, I went to the beach and sat there for a long, long time and let the waves bring me peace. As they will to Elaine.

These are beautiful photos, and the video is fun! It's cute the way you shake off the water near daddy Ron, Sophie. I guess you want to share the fun with him :)

    2. Back again, Sophie!
I had to look at the video again because it was just so sweet! I loved the sound of the waves and the closeup of your wagging tail. I hope your Auntie Elaine gets to see your video soon, if she hasn't been able to!

By the way, Sophie, I've been thinking about this since Saturday. You should ask your Daddy Ron if he has ever thought about writing a children's book about you. I think you're a natural, Sophie! Kids all like books about doggies ~ you just check that with your Daddy Jim. I'll bet that he will agree with me!

Your whole life has been documented with photos; Daddy Ron has been recording your thoughts for years ~ he knows you inside out! And, Girl, you have an audience, a platform: Blogger, You Tube, Facebook! You could add Author's Notes at the end about labradoodles and put in your Internet addresses ~ kiddos could watch your videos on-line.

Actually Daddy Jim could be a co-autho,r or co-illustrator, or both! He has taken lots of pictures of you too. I think you have a lot of potential, Girl; and you got scads of material for your dads to work with. And by the way, how many doggies are lucky enough to have two great dads? I tell you ~ I think the world is ready for your story.

So go pitch this idea to the dads! The worst they can say is "No!" And I don't think it would go to your pretty head; you're so sensitive, loving, and thoughtful!

I can see it now! "The Adventures of Sophie and Mr. Orangie" (You knew I'd work in Mr. O.!) "Sophie and the Aliens" I can See You ~ But Can You See Me?

Daddy Ron is so creative that I'll bet that he has way better ideas. How about "Being Present with Uncle Jim" ~ stress reduction, relaxation, contemplating your navel (hee hee ~ that might be tough for we active, moving, spontaneous types!). Sophie's Guide to Halifax including that doggie bakery ~ I can't think of it's name right now! Visiting Pops at his veteran's place. I could go on and on!
Let me know what you think!
      Head scratches to you!
