Back Scratch with a View!

After hopping over the boulders
along the North West Arm
Ron coaxed me up the hill
to one of my favourite back scratching lawns.

The lawn is particularly enticing
because it's extra scratchy rough
and you know what it's like to get your back scratched,
well, hum doggy this is special!

Whenever the peeps are ready to continue our walk
then I'll stop scratching ~~~ !

 I guess we are ready
and that means
I must mosey along.

Up the old stone steps
which make it much easier to see in amazement

the view in front of me

Just ask me if I feel blessed!

  5. Nothing like a good scratch on those itchy spots! I think you are truly blessed. Those photos are wonderful. I love how blue the sky is. Does daddy Ron use a polarizer filter on those sunny days?

    1. Hi Martha!

The second to last photo of blue sky is 'au naturel' ~~~ I was surprised with the result too. The rest are all doctored a bit because the overall look was flat and unappealing. When I have a specific photo that I want to use but isn't up to par I edit the life out of it ~~~ et voila!

    2. I do the same thing with my photos. And I use my polarizer filter on those sunny days. The sky turns out more blue, and the clouds are fluffy and white. I got the filter for Christmas by my hubby. He spoils me!

  9. SophieDoodle, you are living the life of Riley, whoever he was. Love the water view through those Swedish looking trees.

    1. I googled Riley and it seems to be Irish/American derivation. There was a radio show in the 1940's called The Life of Riley with Wm. Bendix who later moved over to TV ~~~ I personally remember this show as it was one of the 1st one's I ever watched on our Marconi TV in 1956.

The Swedish trees are every where here ~~~ just for you, IngerDoodle!

  10. Just read your comment. I wonder what's going on with my friend John now. Back in the day, I visited him in Sacramento and we went to Truckee and Lake Tahoe. We also went back to Arizona, to the Grand Canyon and camped outside without a tent. I guess I have done a few weird things in my life. There will be a little more about John and our cross country trip later in the A to Z. Under S, for sure. I think for sure, I haven't written it yet. But what's better than Route 66?

Now that's a doodle-scratch if I ever saw one Sophie! So, so pretty there - we awoke to snow and grey... we want some sun!! Ok, we've had enough, we are moving over to buy one of those wonderful farms near you - what's the area called? I'll be on mls.ca later!!!

  22. That extra scratchy, rough lawn looks wonderful for itches, Sophie. I keep a long-handled spoon for those itchy spots I can't reach ~ unless Terry is home. Hard to reach itches are one of the consequences of living in a very dry climate. You are definitely blessed! I love your new soft blue look and those apple blossoms behind your header. Hope all is well with you and your dads!
