OPPORTUNE TIME ~~~ JUST PERFECT

While Jim and I visited Pops in the Veteran's Hospital
Ron slipped into the Halifax Public Gardens.
~~~
Serenity at it's finest
This ginormous Katsura Tree was spreading
it's golden hue over the fountain.
So after our TREAT FILLED VISIT
we took a much needed walk
through the park
to limber up
and
get the blood flowing.
We are loving this time of year
which will soon fade.
Taking advantage at the opportune time
is our motto!
You know what?
I really love this hill !
Why, you ask?
JUST BECAUSE !!
  5. Serenity is right. That was our first though. Autumn is such a lovely time of year. Actually, we seem to be having it instead of Spring at the moment.
  6. Stunning! That first photo is spectacular. It depicts autumn wonderfully. This is how we spend time outdoors, too. Nature is the go-to place to relax and take photographs in. Autumn is quickly coming to an end, but it looks like you've really immersed yourselves in it. It must have been fun visiting pops, especially when there are treats involved!
    1. Yes, autumn is almost over especially the over the top colour display today, here !! We got more photos of the trees in the city, park and countryside ~~ love it.
      Jim said that when he arrived to visit his father, everyone had the same idea so there was a lot of catching up to do with sibs!!
  9. Hey Sophie Doodle! I have enjoyed catching up on your posts from this past Canadian Thanksgiving week! It looks like you Dad's had lots of fun visiting with Ron's brother Mike and his sister-in-law Susan. You can tell the Dads I'm Canon all the way! Your fall colors are gorgeous: sky, rocks, sea, leaves. Wow! Hope you are enjoying a great weekend. Our four-footing Asian labs discovered that they can eat snow when they're thirsty while walking. It's a lot drier here than in India. Is eating snow okay SD? Just thought I'd ask a four-footed snow expert! Take care all!
    1. YESssssssSSSS eat as much SNOW as you can my 4 footed furryends because it all turns to H2O to hydrate you!!
      Did I hear CANON ? Oh well, I won't hold it agin ya!! Ron's brother Mike had a beautiful Canon T1 Rebel - EOS ~~ lovely camera, that it is. If the Nikon's decide to 'not work' or disappear maybe Canon's will appear here. Until the cows come home we will be covered in Nikon shroud!!
      The rains finally arrived and now the trees are super brilliant. You should see the trees that Ron captured today. I'm sure he'll spread the golden/red love!!
    1. It took mine away too, Pat ~~ I was slowly working my way around the pond snapping pictures from all angles. This one among others just made my heart sing. There was a lone heron preening her/himself and I was trying to capture a good view, but alas he/she wasn't about to come out in full view. Curiously, I follow on Facebook a site that displayed a photo of the bird full spread wings ~~~ love this place!!
