SUNSET BEFORE THE METEOR SHOWERS

Evening swim
This is going to be good.

 Lovebirds are inhabiting the beach.

I see one surfer sitting and waiting for the perfect time
to enter the water
so I waltz over to check things out.
(see my tail)

Ready finally to take the plunge.

I'm keeping an eye on this one
you just never know.

Foiled.
Someone threw Mr. Orangie in front of me
and
broke my concentration.

I have my eyes on you, Mr. O!!
No chance of getting away!

Yup, it's me with water tendrils
coming to get you.

Still waiting for he meteor spectacle.
I hear it's going to be a good one.

  4. The sunset looks beautiful - summer in full swing with you! Was that water cold Sophie, or does it warm up nicely in the summer? I'm guessing that perhaps it's 15 or 16C?

    1. I sure hope it's 15 or 16 C but the website today say 11 C ~~ Is that too cold?

Humans are wimps!! Don't tell anyone I said that, I do want to go to the beach again!!

  5. I once drove out to rural Manitoba in the middle of the night to watch the Perseid Shower or whatever it is at this time of year. The friggin mosquitoes nearly ate me alive. I lasted 10 minutes.

    1. I highly suspect the very same thing may happen to us too. The skeeters are rampant in our backyard now, but the breezes off the ocean SHOULD keep them at bay!

      YAY!!

  6. I am amazed that you can find Mr. O so easily in the surf. Good job and good he's just the right color, isn't it?

How warm is it in the water Sophie???
We had sun and rain today....but ok.
Nice to have vacation. Dad is working on the guest/doghouse. Our dogs can stay there when we work with a area to stay outside if they want to...

  8. Sophie, you have a look of Ursula Andress about you as you emerge from the water!
It's cloudy here,so the only shower we are likely to see will be rain showers.

Come to think of it, I feel like Ursula A slinking out of the water dripping in H2O or maybe Bo Derek in 10 ~~~ smiles!!

Still clear here so maybe we'll see the 'steroids or meteors or whatever they are!!

  11. Holy cow, what great photos! It's hard to pick a fave, but the 4th, 5th and last really get my attention. I am always fascinated by surfers. It must be quite a thrill riding the waves.

    1. I/We are surfer OCD it seems because the light/shadow effects really are unexpected thrills. Evening/sundown always seems to present us with reflected warm colours and if the surf board is a unique colour, well then, all the better to give a punch to the picture. Love the beach when it is surfer overload!!!!!

I watch the excitement on the faces of novices and the determination of professionals and delight in the expressions.

      CHeers Martha!
