DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE.......

Do you see what I see?

Walking on my trail along the grassy dunes at the beach.

TWO,
yes 2
because you can see
 2 white tails.

They see me too.

They are swift,
 ambling nimbly across the trail,

taking on a sprint through the thickets of wild roses, bayberry and spruces.

So, that is what a deer looks like.
This I won't forget
and
I have your scent
indelibly imprinted
in my Doodle brain.

I love the chance to see deer, but I've never seen white-tailed deer before, what a treat!

    1. White-tailed deer are very popular in our world. You can see them from far away as they flick their tails hopping over bushes, stumps, and Doodles!!

    1. Yes, I understand that living in or near the forests lets you see and experience these lovely creatures. Now I can say I have experienced them. Maybe I'll see them again!

    1. Blame it on Ron & Jim ~~ they are ALWAYS taking me here and there. If they didn't my world would be somewhat uneventful.

    1. I couldn't get away from him. He had me on leash and we stood still very still while the 2 deer made their way over the dunes and away!

  9. Beautiful, what a great day. Here in NZ there are only two herds of White-tail deer, one on Stewart Island, the other at the head of Lake Wakatipu ( South Island) and these are the only herds on the Southern Hemisphere!! ( according to internet data) So, Sophie, when you come to stay with us, I'll have to take you way down south, to see them all over again. Get your passport in order, Doodle Girl!!! Greetings from Jean.

  12. It's always such a treat to see wild deer, probably because it's so rare and unexpected.
But the nerve of those deer Sophie, interloping on YOUR private doodle walking area. I'd have a word if I was you...

    1. The main highway is nearby so I'd be very careful if the doggies ran after the deer. That is why Sophie was on a leash because she would have chased them too.
