Complete Opposite!

I know it's SPRING and the flowers
should be popping
through the ground,
at least showing signs of  waking up.

Well, not so much here this year.
We had a a snow storm last night
and the temperatures are freezing again.
So cold, so dark, so unfair!

Last year at this time we were basking in
what seemed like summer temps
or at least unbelievably warm spring temps.
Click here and see for yourself!

If you feel like sending us warm vibes
and
loads of
"hope for spring very soon
thank you very much"!
We'd be so very appreciative!!

  1. Wow, last year was almost tropical, " where is that spring", so many are wondering just that. Sophie, enjoy the cool days, soon it will be too hot for running round on the boardwalks. Greetings from Jean

  5. If you receive warm vibes, can you please share some? We're in the same position here. There is snow on the ground and it's still too cold to feel like spring! I hope it gets better soon. There is so much exploring to do out there, isn't there?

  9. It seems to be a common thread. Same with us in that we're still having winter weather with even some snow in the forecast for tomorrow. That said, Sophie looks to be having a grand time as usual - she certainly wouldn't let a little snow get in the way of a good time!
The last shot of the storm lashed beach is stunning by the way.

    1. Thanks Craig re: last picture!

Sophie and I had finished bracing the wind and coldness as we trekked across the 3rd set of wooden steps ~~~ I looked back and saw this view ~~~ I was stunned (pun, maybe not really unusal) so I took a few shots.

This place is always different and that's what fascinates me as an amateur photographer!

All the best with you, Cive and Boris!

Please could you come over and bite my "bossin". Please? ;) 4 nightshifts now, "statt" 2; and I have to work eastern, but it´s my free-time. Maaaaaaan, it´s *grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*!

    1. Still cold at your house too ~~~ come on spring and warm us ALL up please!

I'm sending "biteeeee's" to you to dole out to your boss whenever you need too. My Dad worked nightshifts many years ago only 2 nights every 2 weeks, off 2 days, then weekends all 12 hour shifts ~~~ so he understands your "aaaaaarggghhhhh"!

      What does "eastern" mean?

    1. Easter ~~~ how could I have not figured that word out! So sorry, I will do better next time.
Shift work is very hard on the physical and emotional parts of the mind and body. Everyone knows this, but there's not much anyone can do because we all need nurses who do such wonderful work for the sick and infirmed.

My hat goes off to you, Alex and all your hospital friends~~~ cheers!

  20. Hi Sophie!
I've missed you! I've been catching up on all your posts since I left for Calgary. You've certainly had a lot of fun! I think it would be neat to see Devil's Island and go on a surprise visit to Three Dog Bakery! Lucky you!

Your new clipped look is very cute ~ I wish I could just cut my hair and be skinny! I ate too many treats and drank too many glasses of wine in Calgary ~ two months to a bathing suit ~ Yikes! But it was worth it!

I enjoyed all your ocean and river videos. I am so longing for the ocean. Two months from now I'll be back on the North Shore of Oahu! I was looking through all my Hawaiian photos looking for a picture to make a card for Ron and Jim. I got so excited because I'm going to be back there soon. I'll have to see if I can learn how to use my Flip and catch some Hawaiian waves for you. On Sunset Beach there are signs warning you never to turn your back on the ocean because there can be rogue waves ~ Good for you putting a warning at one of your videos!

I've been seeing signs of spring here: a robin, some frisky finches, some snowdrops poking out of the dirt ~ but we're having snow tonight and tomorrow night! So I won't wish our weather on you! But, you'll be basking in warm sunshine before you know it!

I hope that you and the dads are having a fun walk today. They can have their serenity ~ I like your serenity!

    1. Hey Louise!
SO glad to see you are back and that you were helping a family member at this time. It's such a tough thing when you are the caretaker.
Sophie has taken us many places in the passed 2+ weeks and we have had many new experiences that really have enriched our lives from crashing waves to red boats and an anniversary.
Again, take your time getting back in the full swing of things

PsssT if there's any room in your suitcase for 2 humans and 1 doggy we are tiny ~~~ at least I think we are!

    2. Hey Sophie and Ron! Maybe I could strap you to the wing! We are flying Allegiant Air, and you pay for everything. So I'm only allowed one carryon ~ for $50 bucks ~ And I have to share with Terry! I should have know what I was in for when I didn't know where we were going on our honeymoon, and I could only take a carryon! It's been downhill ever since!
