Soft Sunset

Our sunset seemed to have a soft, ethereal gauzy effect this evening

I was contented to just hold Mr. Orangie
and keep an eye on Jim

as he captured some sunset shots.
OCEAN BREEZES
check his view of the sunset

(my video today will show you our sunset
and how energetic
the ocean waves
were crashing on the beach)

We noticed the sunset everywhere....

even in this melting water along the boardwalk.
Look I caught Mr. Orangie
just before he flipped into that water.

Spring is just around the corner.
With water like this coaxing the ice to disappear
and the muted sunsets softened by the mists
our world feels a little more lighter and fresher.

Namaste

  1. Beautiful post! The light in the sky, the lambent colors, the dark rolling water, the hard cobbles, the gentle mist, Mr. Orange, and of course, a pretty girl ~ loved that photo of you catching Mr. Orange just in time! Have a great evening! It's snowing here, but I don't think it's going to amount to anything!

  2. Your right Sophie - the sunset was everywhere- and how beautious it is. I wish me and moms could be there with you to see your magical world that you always take the time to share with us. I was thinking about how much love your dads have for you- but also for the love they have for all of us toooo-
cause you and your dads always take the time to try to make many of us who have boo boo's feel better-- by sharing the joy in your lives. We thank you Sophie and we wishing for spring to come soon too.

  4. Your video is superb, I really like the way it starts with a title, 1 or 2 still pics, and then the voices, lovely accents, guess you might say the same about mine. Still lots of snow and ice, but surely your days are getting warmer slowly. Greetings to you and your Daddies, take care Sophie, Mr Orangie is longing for spring time to come so he can go onto the green grass again. Jean.

    1. Hi JeanDoodle!!

Yes, we have our accents which more than once have been alluded to by many non-Nova Scotianers ~~~ Ron's Valley accent and Jim's city accent ~~~ makes for an interesting discussion sometimes. Would love to hear you! Video time pray tell!
The weather trips along like the typical Maritime weather it is ~~~ one day sunny/bright/vivid blue skies and the next cloudy/rainy/heavy atmosphere. Not friendly for the arthritis sufferers which there is a high incidence of in our province.

Yes the colours were very pastel from Ron's angle but entirely different from Jim's angle.

    1. The sea changes every time I visit the shoreline. That's what I like about living near the ocean. One day a couple years ago the shore was covered in froth. I believe I posted about it and if I haven't I just might do do. My FB followers saw it and commented.
Sorry to hear about the dreaded cold ~~~ I am over it finally ~~~ tell Aston to snuggle closer ~~~ it always works!
