FreshClean.... Swim

We are proud of our harbour water....

because it is fresh and clean...

and allows me to swim...

fetch and retrieve

without the worry

of getting sick.

I am thankful for the city's efforts....

for they built three treatment plants

which handle the sewage

for the city of Halifax,

the city of Dartmouth

and Herring Cove...

This has been in the waiting

for a very long time...

Thanks to all those that were involved
in any measure.....

Thusly....my new header....Enjoy!

  1. So, that's the reason for your beautiful water! I'm sure if everyone took care of their waste water it would make a big, big difference!

Beautiful face shot! I love it!

    1. Yes, we have been concerned about our waters for years and now the treatment plants help to keep the returning water clean for our beaches. I won't tell you what used to float around...not necessary...suffice it to say...all's WELL NOW!

  2. Sophie, all these photos are spectacular, but that last one is out of this world. I love it. A perfect choice for your header. We sure are lucky to have clean water, aren't we? Something to be very thankful for.

    1. Yes Clean Water and Air that's what we strive for here...last night we had a problem with wood smoke and the fire engine came and spoke to the people who caused it....so you see we are very concerned about everyone's health! Sophie's header picture was a combo of 2 and a bit of cropping...she was game!!

    1. I can find you some brown or red water if you want KIM...in the Annapolis Valley where Daddy Ron was born and grew up, he used to play in the waters of the Minas Basin...lots of brownish red mud there...everyone smeared it over their bodies like a spa mud wrap...so much fun...your skin came out looking fresh and clean and it was FREE!

    1. Tweedles...don't ever drink this salt water because it'll come out both ends...I made that mistake many times as a young pup...no more though!
