BRA ALERT !!!!

I saw all these BRAS strung across the MacDonald Bridge today.

These bras look like people walking
How ironic.

These bras started on the Halifax side of the bridge
and
hung blowing in the breeze
all the way across
1.3 kms (.84mi )
to the Dartmouth side.

all colours and lots of them

the cool thing
is that the fog hung in
and made the colours more vibrant.

Fog can be a
good thing.

So you are asking me "What's with all the bras?"

Well, if you go to this link  CLICK HERE
you'll see how many bras brought in $11,088
for
Breast Cancer

  2. What a sight to see!! And Sophie, they are NOT tug toys!! :-) But seriously, what a very worth while cause as I have just dodged that proverbial bullet for this very thing this past week.

  6. What a clever and colorful fund-raising idea.

I've got a second use for those bras; I'd like to give them to some of the men I see walking topless on our streets. If women can't go topless when they leave the beach, I don't know why the men should be allowed to... especially when many of them could use the support a lot more than the women!

    1. I just wonder how heavy this display would be?

A lot of work draping them along the bridge.

  10. Trust Bluenosers to come up with such a fun plan, Ron! I'm still knitting my BC scarf ~ been a little distracted the last few days. I'm hoping to get a lot done while watching football today. Thank goodness they have instant replays in case I miss something "important!" LOL!

Thanks for the links to your 9/11 posts. It's awesome that you and Jim were able to help stranded passengers. That would have felt so good to be able to do something ~ anything. We flew to New Hampshire and drove to Andover a few weeks later. Noreen and Cathol couldn't get back from Kuala Lumpur, so Terry and I went to see Kevin at Phillip's Academy for Parents Weekend. Poor kiddo ~ away from home for the first time and all that going on. I'm so proud of Canadians who stepped up everywhere.

    Hugs to the Trinity!

    1. Yes, someone is churning their brains trying to think up ideas to make more $$$$ for cancer research. It all adds up.

Being away from home during 911 must have been scary I'm sure. Hope the aftermath has lessened for all.
