More on the Rocks, please!

I told you there were plenty of rocks!
Can you find me?
It's like "Where's Waldo, but my version is Where's Sophie"

There I am manouevring the boulders
so many boulders!

In front of me is a crevasse that you can't see.
Left or right?

Left!

I am focused right now as I head to the top of the whale's back.

Up and over
and looks who's here!

Mr. Jim and his trusty camera.

Uhm ~~ I am behind you!

Such is my life when I have 2 Dads that are camera crazy.

That's OK with me.
A little patience never hurt anyone, right!

(another video for your rock lovers!)

If I can get a smile like that from just waiting
imagine if I teased him.

  2. Hi Y'all,

You are brave Sophie! Here in the southeast low country rocks are trucked in to use for rip wrap. I'm not allow on the piles 'cause snakes like to sun there. In the mountains we have to watch out for snakes around the rocks too...especially if they are around a creek or river.

    Y'all come by now,

  13. Hey Sophie!
As a third grade teacher, I'm very familiar with "Where's Waldo?" I was looking all over the first photo for you, and there you were right smack in the middle! I was laughing at myself over that one.

Good video ~ and I can see that you are careful out on those rocks. Granite can be smooth and slick! And Daddy Ron is so right about how dangerous they can be. I'm afraid that Swissair 111 is forever associated in my mind with Peggy's Cove now ~ not just beautiful rocks and scenery.

I like climbing around on Bay of Fundy basalt, because sometimes it's stair-like, and easy to hop around on. I give Terry fits, though, because he grew up in Detroit. He's not into rock scrambling like I am. He's always saying "Be careful! Be careful! I wish you wouldn't do that!" whenever we go to Point Prim!

I hope you and your dads are having an excellent week! It got off to an awesome start! Take care!

    1. I figured a Grade 3 teacher would be all over Waldo!! I was correcto - mondo!!

Yes Peggy's Cove has it's awesome beauty but also has it's super sad side. The Swiss Air memorial is in eye sight of where we were walking today. Haven't gone there because it would just add a side to my world that I'm can't handle right now. So enjoying the rocks is better for my soul!

Tell, Terry to settle down ~~~ Nova Scotians(at heart) can handle rocks like nobodies business! RIGHT!!

Surf/Beach/R&R not far away ~~~~ YAY!!
