Foggy Doggy Grey Day!

Some people have a 'thing' about fog ~~~

they don't enjoy it

not being able to see the horizon
throws them off

they feel hemmed in

and claustrophobic somewhat.

Well, for me, I take it all in stride
as I 'dog paddle' through
the waters of the North West Arm
skimming passed the sailboats
as they frolic in the background.

Fog offers me a new perspective on life,
take what you are given and make a cake!

In other words, make the best of what you have

because tomorrow's another day!!

I know you understand me!

    1. Hi Ho Beth!

      Dad's been feeling a little itchy creatively and needed to change up the blog look, always open for CHANGE because it influences the stories ~~ he says!!

      Aren't sailboats the best! They glide along and then flip around before you now it ~~ love it!

  2. Quite a contrast to the last few posts! Fog doesn't bother us. We know that a foggy morning usually means we have a beautiful day coming up! There is something haunting about the fog, though.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

    Good think Mr O is such a bright colour!

    1. Contrast encourages the imagination, me thinks!

      The mind sees something in a normal vein and they POW it is a 180 degree change. This is a good I think.

      The fog was so necessary this day because we needed to feel cocooned and Sophie needed Mr. O!!!

      Grey sure makes Orange POP!

      Heat? What is heat?

      Warmth I understand, but heat is a 4 letter word that I haven't been able to say! YET!!

      You must be getting super excited about the Hawaiian HEAT!!! YAY!!

      Yes heat ~ too much heat for me! I like warm, cool, cold, and damn cold ~ not HOT!
      Hawaii will be cooler, and I can't wait! Ocean Breezes ~ Oh Yeah!
      I want to trade the flat, black, back of a bosu board for a paddle board!

      *OH CAMERA, I'll do what ever you want!*

      ~~~ I look at life so differently now. It has been a lifesaver in more ways than one. So with that, looking at the fog and being in the fog has become a creative feeling as opposed to a claustrophobic world.
      I look forward to rain now ~~ look it's actually raining now!
      Cheers!
    1. Mr. Orangie appeared one day as Sophie was walking down a path in the park. We looked ahead of us and we could see a wee bit of colour poking out from under a leaf pile. What in the world is that? We shuffled over to the pile as Sophie quietly surveyed the mound. Huh! What in the world do we have here? An orb, a ball, a bouncy bouncy ~~ well let's pick her up and check her out. She's fully intact which means she must bounce. The excitement was mounting and Sophie knew exactly what was about to happen. She was used to orange hockey balls from the daycare farm. Now she wanted us to know about orange balls. Her eyes were as big as two moons on a full moon night. Looks like we have found something special, sweetie, one Dad said. Oh yes, Major Special for sure. So from that day onwards Mr. Orangie, sometimes re-incarnated, has participated in our world. Coming along just in time, very similar to Sophie Doodle, just in time for her two Dads!!
  14. Hi Y'all!
    Oh yes, Sophie! You nailed my philosophy of life! Perfect!
    Sometimes humans just "don't get it"! We need to remind them that life is for living in the here and now and there are "no do overs".
    Y'all come by now,
    1. Is that why I feel so OCD sometimes! I love to swim after Mr. Orangie all the time. Oh maybe close, but I sure do believe in your example. Everyday is different and a joy if your cup is 1/2 full with fresh spring water!!
      Cheers Hawk!! My friend!
      Sophie *with Mr. O by my side* Doodle, here!
    1. I grew up in FOG, so have an affinity for it. I couldn't imagine LIFE without it.
      No. 2 has an interesting perspective happening. The large sailboat skirting the smaller ones ~~~ with Sophie eyeing the water covered rocks. She knows she has to be careful when returning to shore, just like the sailboats have to be careful with their neighbour. Some tension happening!
      Hey Martha ~~ hope your garden is growing gangbusters!
  19. Ron- foggy days are special in their own way. When we travel we've learned to make the best of every day// and sometimes those days are foggy. Photo taking can be a challenge-- but it's always special in some way. Your photos are truly lovely. I'm guessing that Sophie doesn't mind the fog at all!
