Relentless Waves

This visceral expression
of
Mother Nature
exemplifies
the power and the grace
that we witness
living on the coast.

Every time
I go to the shore
I wait patiently
as the car
rounds the bends
getting
closer and closer
suddenly
offering
the first glimpse
of the ocean.

Are there any whitecaps?
Is the fog lingering?

These are the foremost thoughts
that skirt through my mind.

Knowing these conditions
helps me to prepare for
my next adventure
on my beaches.

  9. You just made me miss the ocean. But I'm so glad you live close to it and can enjoy it so much. Just be careful in the cold weather, OK.

  12. I'm feeling worn out today, and your video almost put me to sleep it was so beautiful and relaxing!!!

But I'm awake now, and wanted to thank-you for the tip on the ear cleaner from your Monday post. I've never used vinegar and water as a cleaner and will have to give it a try!

  18. Those are some pretty big waves. We get big waves like that here but those are certainly bigger (or at least the biggest I thought they would get) than I thought you got on the East Coast. Geologically wise I thought the approach to the shore was shallower since you are on the older side of the continental plate - which I envisioned as meaning shallower waves. Silly me.

Happy Wordless Wednesday from a nerdy Geologist :)
