Cleaning Time!

I possess those kind of ears that produce way too much ear wax
and we've learned the hard way
what can happen if you leave them unattended.

We've used the special solution from the vet
which smells like sweet apples

but I prefer a simple solution of diluted vinegar in warm water ----- 4 to 1

I just find the vet's solution makes me uncomfortable and antsy

while I relax in Jim's hands with the vinegar solution.
He really is the best solution "giver".
If you need any handy helpful hints like this
just ask, only thing though
Jim can't provide the hand rubbing, sorry!

  4. I have to much ear wax and Pam cleans them with cleaner from the vets that I don't like so I will tell her about Jim's vinegar solution.
    Thanks for the tip, Sophie.

  5. Hey Sophie!
Wow, looks like you are definitley being well cared for there. My peeps used to have a Retriever who had horrible problems with this. They tease me that my big, open, radar-dish-sized ears never have this trouble! Phhhtttthth. You're a very good patient. :)

  6. I'm sorry about your ears, but you have the greatest care givers. You may want to read my blog today and see what Samson has to say about this subject. He's threatening to sue!!!

  11. I needed this about 10 years ago! I had a wonderful Bouvier with natural ears and the same problem. Our vet gave us "Oticlens", and it blistered his ears. After that, I just cleaned them with warm water.

  14. We get our ears cleaned all the time with vinegar and water. Being a couple of basset hounds our ears are always full of crud! Sophie's ear cleaning looks like a spa treatment. We're just not that happy to have ours cleaned.
