LAND OF 40 WINKS !!

Today I was hearing from the guys
about this big rain and wind storm
called a nor'easter in these parts
traveling up the eastern seaboard of the U.S.A.
I got my walk in at MacDonald Hill,
visited Pops at the hospital,
had my breakfast and supper,
drove around in the backseat of my car surveying pretty much everything,
and
claimed my spot on my sofa
while the lights flickered
and the rains came pouring down.

When I wake up in the morning
(with paws crossed)
everything will be backed normal.

ZZZzzzzz ~~ later gators!!

  4. I love how your house and your outside surroundings are so perfectly color-coordinated with Sophie. If you really do find "normal," let me know.

    1. Our normal is influenced by our "gay genes" ~~ we have no control over the need / want to make things "work" together ~~ at least in our eyes. I think you understand this propensity ~ you have an incredible eye and it shows in everything you share with us.

There now that's your "normal" !!

    1. We've battened down the hatches,
      tightening all the latches,
      closing all the curtains,
      'cause we aren't flirting
      with Mother Nature's smirking.....!!

  6. You look so snuggy and warm, Sophie! Big T got a big smile and said, "Aawww" when he saw you sacked out on the couch. I hope you have woken up refreshed and to clear skies, SD. And for the Dads, I hope they have electricity! Looks after the guys, Sweet Sophie!

    1. Well, we awoke to grey skies, no rain, dry backyard and the sun trying to squeak through ~~ thank you very much.

I was worried about our back door basement because the water level from the rain last night was rising and I thought it might overflow into the basement. It did back in 1996 and it was not a pretty picture.

Another rain event is coming on Tuesday so that's one down, another to go........oh bliss!!

  11. You look so very content, Sophie. The coloring of your fur fits with the rest of your home perfectly. I'm surprised that it's rain rather than snow. Will it change to snow? In any case, stay safe, my friends.

    1. This winter has been more wet than not with a smattering of snow flakes thrown in which disappear the next day.

HOWEVER, a HUGE ginormous storm is coming up the eastern U.S. which will hit us tonight and at that time we will be covered in a yard/metre plus of the white stuff. OUCHIE!!
The thing is though, it's supposed to rain later on and so everything will be heavy.
Power outage issues could be inevitable.

Not looking forward to the next 48 hours!

So Sophie Sweetie Honey has to keep us warm ~~ she does have responsibilites.
