JOY in the GRASS

These grasses at the park cover this section of the trail
and when I chase the ball
I can get lost very easily.

I do enjoy my surroundings in the summer especially this place.

Can you see me?

Yup, it's little ol' me camouflaging my blondness again.
Better go get a drink.

This spring that I'm standing in the middle of
satisfies my thirst 365 days of the year.
It's so very reliable.

I really do feel like
I'm the Queen of the Mountain a la Monet
sometimes.

    1. The 3rd one is one of my favourites too, Jean!

Thinking about using it for header this summer most likely.

The movement within the grass and Sophie's ears work well together!

  2. Really creative shots there Ron - the tall grass looks like water! Nice to see Sophie romping in the tall grass. Dogs are lucky not to suffer like we humans do with hay fever.

    1. Thanks Rick !

We think so too. She has brought a lot of JOY into our lives. She helped most of her life with Jim's recuperation from a concussion and helped with Ron's extensive care taking hours. Her presence is so calming and helpful. Nothing better than a warm chin on your lap or pressing against your leg along with her eyes watching so very closely.

    1. I'm on Revolution 3 months now, so presumably I'll be safe. Not a happy camper about that but it worth a day of down time so I can enjoy the rest of the month.

      Have a great weekend, Ann!

  7. Are you there, Sophie? You blend in completely in that third photo! You can stay hidden and then jump on someone as they walk by. Just for fun...and to see them jump with fear!

And have I mentioned how much I love the header on your blog? I haven't?? Well, I do! It's spectacular.

    1. Sophie sometimes knows exactly when to show her beauty ~~ in her eyes, her personality and the coat she is so fortunate to have. This particular evening we were capturing the final rays of the sun on MacDonald and sweetie just looked at me. In a split second she turned I was ready and I clicked. Aaaaaahhhh!

The post today was done in Point Pleasant Park and when I saw the grass, I had remembered taking pictures there other years. Immediately I threw the ball into the middle of the grasses. Aaaaaaaaahhhh!

      Thanks Martha!

  12. You are the queen of the mountain Sophie. When I looked at your banner photo, I saw some of K in your eyes. I wonder if you and she are spirit sisters. Thanks to your dad for his nice comment.

    1. THAT sounds like a very cool notion ~~ SPIRIT SISTERS !!

Dad says that your world has opened his eyes up to so much and that he appreciates your view of/on the world ~~~ keep sharing and we will be satisfied ~~~ mountains, trails, bears, sunsets, sunrises, snow, rains, flowers and so much more. He said that they would love to experience Colorado some day, because an ol' school chum lives in the state. You never know!

    1. Happy Sunday to you Vicki !

We are laying low because of the humidity and high temps. Should be at the beach but there are so many people there parking is full and both sides of the highway are filled.

We'll visit after 7pm when the crowds diminish !!!

Sophie *waiting ever so patiently* Doodle here!
