I AM NOT A CAT !!

~~ High on top of Fort Needham
skirting the snow covered tennis courts
heading for one of my favourite vantage points
to view and just inhale a deep breath ~~

We have just passed this sign
slightly disfigured which confirms that ~
"I AM A DOG" !

I'd say that from this end it holds true!

and sticking my nose into the snow
to tunnel pretty much confirms that
"YES"
I know exactly how to perform as a dog
while viewing the Hydrostone area of North end Halifax.

These homes along with most/all of Halifax
are venturing close to a spring thaw.
This winter wallopped us royally
and
it's time for a renewal and refreshing.

and I know how refreshing it is
to nose dive
to rub myself
and
to dance in the snow
this time of year.

I am more than ready for spring
and
I know for a fact that
"I AM A DOG"
because what cat would venture up here on this hill?

This is all dogs up here
(even though I am the only one today)

Spring Fever has hit me
and
since "I AM A DOG"
well
watch out!

Later Gators!!

  2. There's no way yous a Push-T-Cat Sophie, you're all DOG!
Although, this dog doesn't fancy rolling in that snow, looks a bit to chilly for this less hardy version of dog! (oh no, maybe I'm a Push-T-Cat??)

  3. " Spring Fever", indeed, with all that snow, not a sign of a golden daffodil, and everyone so well wrapped up in real winter gear? Sophie, you love that white stuff, maybe as much as the water you play in when it warms up a little or a lot.

    1. Daffodils?

      What are those? just teasing!

The snow is dripping like crazy here now. Worried about flooding so we take one day at a time!

      Cheers!

  4. That's right! A cat would stay home on a soft pillow in front of the fire and demand to be fed as soon as everyone got home.

    1. I am so glad my guys always take me with them and never leave me at home alone.

Is that weird? They tell me it is, but who am I to complain!

      Winks!

  5. Thank goodness Sophie will not need a dog psychiatrist - she knows who she is! When our dog Breezy ran and played like that we used to say she was "hauling butt." Great views from up there! Spring-like here , too (but we know it won't last...).

    1. Haulin' Butt ~~ I will remember that one for sure and use it inappropriately just to get a laugh!

Spring-like all day here but on Sunday ~ guess what?

      What you ask!

    1. Oh thanks so much Craig. You now hear our accents from across the pond. Hope you are able to understand. Just teasing!

When I saw the sign, I just had to click the camera!

Someone was up to some shenanigans I'd say!

      Winks!

    2. Did you read in your local press that WestJet are strating summer non stops from Halifax to Glasgow? I'm happy to see our local airport obtain a new long haul destination but I do wander about the demand between the two cities. Perhaps Canadian golfers coming over?

    3. No I hadn't Craig, but WestJet has taken the whole country by storm since it's inception and to have this flight available can only mean good things. I do however believe the preponderance of golfers probably tipped the iceberg.

    4. Apologies for my typos - I really must proof read my comments before posting - "starting" and "wonder" of course. Duh!

  9. LOL! Cute... I'm glad to see that sign up, to let you know that you are a dog and not a cat. Otherwise, how would you ever have known? Boy, Sophie, that video gives me energy just by watching you r-u-n!! I'm sure you are excited that spring is on its way. Well. After the snow, maybe? These pictures are beautiful. Your dad must have a really nice camera... Amazing, crystal clear shots. He is one great photographer. Have a good weekend, Soph... and stay warm while counting those days till spring.
