QUICK DASH

Last night a minute portion of the sky opened
behind the backyard trees
throwing ruddy, golden light
through the limbs
and
flickering furiously
as the zen flags flapped in the wind.

Ron and I jumped in the car and zipped down to MacDonald Hill
for the end of the day spectacle.

I found my open grassy area
plunked myself down
and stared.
I'm EXTRA-DOODLE-SPECIAL at staring.

Then the dance begun!
I LOVE this spot
any time of day,
just ask the guys!

Before we knew it
the sun was gone
and
I stood solely
on the hill
looking out to sea.
I can't believe how fast the sun
goes down this time of year.
The end of October already.
Time to head back home!

    1. Hi Ho PL!!

When I hear "Do you want to go in the car?"

I dash so quickly to the door and wait and wait and wait.

It all works out fine in the end!!

  3. I think that spot so special, SD, any time! Lucky you! I'm often dashing off to take pictures of beautiful sky, especially at dawn or dusk. Tell Daddy Ron that I love how he plays with photo editing. Liked his alliteration too! I hope you and Mr. Orangie have a great day today. Hi to both daddos!

It is unseasonably warm here in the UK, but I'm not complaining :)

  7. The days are getting so short, Miss Sophie. And when we change our clocks back, it'll only get worse :( I can't say I like that. But I can say that I love all these photos!
