My First Swim Ever!

It's the summer of 2007
and I am only 6 months old.
Since it was a lazy morning, we decided to stroll down the gravel road to the bay.
Little did I know what was in store for me...

I began sniffing the area 'cause it was all new and fresh for me.

Jim seemed to be interested in something so I bounded over to see what was up.

He had sticks in his hand and guess what he did?
Yup! He tossed them into the water.
Do you think I could resist this?
Nope, so in I charged.

Little did I know that I was swimming.
It was second nature to me,
since I'm 1/2 Lab and 1/2 Poodle.

I even swam out for the plastic water bottle with a stone in it.
Now, that intrigued me especially the sound coming from the thing.

Here I out!

This exercise deserved a 'calm down' stroll along the shore.

Finally, back up the gravel road and passed the cemetery we sauntered.
I was pretty proud of myself
and I think the guys were too!

  8. So that's how you began swimming... I wonder if I threw Gracie's Chickie Bird in the water if she'd go fetch it just like you brought back the stick Problem is, we don't have any water here. Oh, sophie... you're so lucky to live by the water. I love to see you enjoying it.
